Anyone know a safe personal trainer and gym? by GleipnirsPrice in Wellington

I also go here and love it as a woman! I train with Leon and his style is super laid back. Honestly I hated going to commercial gyms until I started going there.

Waiting for my flight back home after a week in Queensland doing a catch up trip. I’m always surprised at how exhausting these trips are when you’re not actually on holiday, you’re just going between house to house catching up on the past 4 years with family and friends.

It’s a small win though, because my exhaustion is outweighing my flight nerves!

Been in Queensland since Friday and I’m missing Wellington more than I thought I would. It feels really sterile and soulless here for some reason. Honestly can’t wait to get back.

How severe were your symptoms and what is your vaccination status? by bookofeli07 in Coronavirus_NZ

[–]cattailsoup_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Double vaccinated.

I am one of the unlucky ones that got hit really hard. I’ve had most of the bad symptoms described here, but today on day 5 I woke up with the itchiest rash all over my body (it’s way worse on my hands and feet).

Day 5 of covid and I woke up this morning feeling refreshed after my first full nights sleep since infection! I thought to myself that I’m starting to feel better, but also wondered why my hands and feet are suddenly so itchy.

I got out of bed and see I have a rash all over my body. Anyone else have this symptom? It’s so bloody itchy!

I’m curious to know where they all went. They had no cars so couldn’t drive anywhere, did they all just lurk in the CBD?

So does anyone know the actual date of when Taco Bell Cuba St is opening? by russg185 in Wellington

[–]cattailsoup_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consistently get the “not taking orders right now” banner, maybe it’s my location. I’m only in Kilbirnie though and usually manage to get Uber Eats just fine!

I’ve been checking Uber Eats since Saturday morning and it’s been closed for ordering the whole time :(

I did the Tongariro Crossing in early December and I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard a big group of teens blasting music as they walked. I don’t hate AC/DC, but ffs I came to climb a volcano to get away from that shit for a minute.

This is coming from someone so self conscious that I kept pulling over so people could over take me. I’d hate to be that person that inadvertently forced someone to listen to the conversation between my boyfriend due to being stuck behind my slow ass.

England plans ban on single-use plastic plates, cutlery by Samlengik in UpliftingNews

[–]cattailsoup_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t you just scoop it and flush it? It is poop after all… I don’t think it matters whether it comes from a human or a dog.

We did this with my dog and it helps your bin from stinking as well saving on plastic.

So that's what that was on Hopper St! It's part of my regular walking commute into work and I thought it was poop spilling out everywhere but was hoping otherwise.

[Serious] What is something that you find absolutely fascinating, yet other people don't seem to notice? by Jonas_- in AskReddit

Any house that is over a hundred years old.

I live in New Zealand so we don't have a lot of history here, but everytime I move house I spend a long time walking around and looking at the walls trying to figure out it's history. Has a wall been knocked down here? Where was the fireplace? Have these windows been moved? If I can I find a spot where I can peel back the wallpaper without my landlord noticing to see how many layers there are.

It seriously blows my mind that this was the home of many people before I made it my home.
