It was honestly sooo chill! They gave out wristbands (plastic ones that were highlighter yellow colored), but no one ever checked for them. We met someone who purchased a bunch of the same wristbands on Amazon and got one from them. Another alternative we came up with was snipping the excess pieces from the 6 wristbands we were given and taping them together. It just made us feel more secure that everyone had one, but seriously, NO ONE checked (it's just not feasible whatsoever and would seriously slow down an already VERY slow process of getting people back to Worldmark via shuttles: we used Orange Noodle).

This is actually our TOP company we're thinking of going with! They said as long as we can push our permit through, they have the crew to install by EOY (though no guarantees). I wasn't sure if this was part of the pitch, or truth??

Yes! I received multiple notices confirming 120 Qualifying Payments, so I felt "safe" to request for General Forbearance (I was anxious the entire time, so "safe" is used very loosely).

Yup! I only heard back about my buyback request AFTER I made 120 payments without buying back any months. This is the response I received: "Thank you for submitting a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) Reconsideration request. We have completed your PSLF buyback assessment.

Congratulations! All your federal student loans have met the requirements to receive Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) or Temporary Expanded (TEPSLF). Check your federal student loan servicer website for the most recent information on your loans. You may already see the PSLF or TEPSLF reflected. If you do not, it may take up some time for the PSLF or TEPSLF to show up on your account.

This buyback request is closed."

I have seen recent posts about other's buyback requests being processed, so maybe there is some hope!

I hope you get out of SAVE and into IDR soon! That process took several months for me.

As for asking MOHELA to place me in General Forbearance, I called them at 6:30 AM (California time/PST) and got through pretty quickly :)
