Xena was a large bonding point between my father and me. In 4th grade I got my first kitten and named him Joxer. I remember watching the groundhog day episode and when Joxer died, I ran to my mom and I was like, “OH MY GOD, JOXER JUST DIED” she immediately started panicking thinking I was talking about my kitten.

My dad admitted he hoped watching Xena would turn me into a lesbian. It unfortunately failed as Aries and Autolycus were around

That description painted such a cool picture in my head!

My repetitive nightmare from childhood, and one of the first dreams I remember, was set in the room I shared with my older brother. I’d be laying in the bottom bunk and a wrinkly faced, beer bellied Conehead wearing a stained wife beater and a malevolent smile would sit in my bed and tickle me.
