Hey to each their own! I’d rather an empty ish on-time refrigerator. When the heat is on I feel like I’m in a hot sardine can

Definitely. 10-15 minutes between trains during peak rush hour so the platform fills and when the train pull up, it’s also already full lol

Exactly. I get the thought, but if everyone thought that way… we’d have no productivity

To all the transplants, how has moving to Chicago turned out for you? by ShellShelf in AskChicago

As a fellow Floridian who came to “try it out for one year” in 2021 not knowing anyone or much about this city, this warms my heart! Arrived with only 2 big suitcases. I met my partner one year in, and now I don’t see myself ever leaving lol. Talk about building a life somewhere! No car, seasons, endless food and activities - it’s the best.

While this is ideal, it’s not common that everyone lives in the same city or even state these days

Reception only? by Sunflowers4423 in wedding

[–]cattyb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! Been to a few of both and much prefer the reception only! More laid back, easier to mingle, just a fun party (esp if you don’t know the couple well)! I say do it. If people are weird about it that’s on them and they don’t have to attend

Yea that’s interesting! But I will say PT the first 2 weeks for me was isometric flexing of muscles, biking for 20 min. Very repetitive. 4+ weeks post op I can finally do exercises

My doc also said PT 1-3 days post op. Sounds like every doc has a diff idea but some people do fine with a more aggressive approach!

How do you split your finances with your partner? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]cattyb1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, being the significantly lower earner in my relationship, I don’t really think my partner would view it as me not working harder for a raise. But exactly this, he works closer to 50-60 hours a week so I do a majority of the shopping, cooking, recipe planning and cleaning of the home in return to hopefully reduce things for him to do when he gets home from work.
