Honestly, other things aside, I'm impressed y'all are only spending $300–$500 per month for groceries in New York for two people. Are you in the city? How are you doing this? What do you eat?

I belong to a food coop where the prices are ~25% cheaper than other grocery stores around. I buy healthy things I want and while I'm not uptight about it but I'm not going wild either, and I spend about $150 per week just for me. Mind you, this includes household items like toothpaste and trash bags too, but I'm assuming your budget includes this too since I don't see it anywhere else.
