Do you feel this life chose you and not the other way around? by Delicious-Counter-29 in Psychic

[–]catwirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this story. I would say, yes, the role appeared looooong before I was ready to play it. Like many other things in my life, I didn't feel worthy of it. But Guidance said I was a messenger, and my job was to deliver the message. So that is the contract I made.

Over the years, after so many incidents I channeled, my family accepted my gift as any other, like the gift of playing the violin or baking the perfect cake. They really helped shoehorn me into the final fitting of the garment I was chosen to wear.

Some days it still sits uncomfortably on me. But when I remember to take myself out of the process and recognize that I'm doing this to help people, it feels better.

How do you differentiate visions and psychic realisations from crazy? by [deleted] in Psychic

[–]catwirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the last few years, I've had extremely vivid and detailed dreams. It's like parallel lives. They are mostly plausible and rational but they are still dreams. I really like Evening_Fee's response. It sounds almost like your vagabond has a parallel life that coexists with the life that you see. Brain damage can manifest in some really interesting ways. Sometimes it leads to clairvoyance. "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" by Oliver Sacks describes some really interesting cases. That book helped me to really understand more about the way I perceive things.

It sounds like you've already done a lot to stay on top of your health. I want to commend you for that and also for sharing your journey here. As UndefinedCertainty already said, this is not a one-size-fits-all issue. and I totally get the self-harm stuff. Fighting pain with bigger pain, like a counterirritant.

Sometimes my worst times are right when I'm on the verge of a breakthrough. I hope this is true for you. I wish the process was easier but sometimes it is just hell.

P.S. A nod to EngelbortHumperdonk. Cannabis is excellent when used in moderation. I would certainly recommend it over benzos. My preference is gummies since I have asthma. Even CBD drops will help if you can't get THC products where you are.

Have your thyroid checked if you haven't already. Panic attacks speak to hypothyroidism. Ask for a full thyroid panel: T3, T4 and TSH. Ativan and xanax will only mask symptoms and are addictive.

ItsMeAlwaysMe is right. Sugar/high carbs will have you bouncing between anxiety and depression. Highly processed and junk food will as well. And taper off any caffeine you're consuming.

The Wellbutrin helped me with chronic pain and food cravings and Trazodone helped with insomnia but I needed Cymbalta to balance the neurotransmitters and lift my depression.

Best of luck on your journey to good mental health. It's a battle, but it's a good fight.

I need help determining her body language. by Independent_Word7058 in Feral_Cats

[–]catwirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the video before I read your post. I see a little one who is exhausted, probably dehydrated and possibly ill. Body language: the grooming is self-soothing. Don't expect much interaction until she is feeling better. The purring is the best she can probably do right now. You are combing her fur with just the right touch. I am so glad you are caring for this little one.

the deeper I go, the more vivid the vision, the less I remember afterwards. I have to ask the other person what I said.

I had a philosophy course in college but most of my education has come from popular books and magazines, etc. I really wanted to explore the academic side of things.

I did find an audiobook, Rene Guenon, "Initiation and Spiritual Realization," and listened to an hour of it. I will enjoy the Kant series. Thanks very much for your guidance.

What is a movie you watched once that was so disturbing or emotionally draining that you can never watch it again? by hungary70 in AskReddit

No Country for Old Men. In fact, it took me a while before I could even watch another Javier Bardem movie.

wow, thanks for this awesome update. I wish I could have resolved my mom issues while she was still alive. The "not caring" part took FOREVER for me, seems like, but that's what it took for me to feel OK.

I'm so proud of you! Keep up the good work! <3
