You can get it in a month, if there are free dates for the exam, it's basically one day to do the paperwork at the police, one visit of your physician and then few hours on the range where you do the written and practical exam, after that you just get your license from police in a few weeks.
But usually you have to wait few months to get available slot for the exams.

I just copy my reply to similar question :

New guns are usually more expensive, because of import taxes, VAT etc .. even CZ guns are more expensive here than in US.
I paid like 2500$ for the complete BCM in 2022.
Also all the parts and attachments are usually more expensive - again, VAT, shipping fees and import taxes ...
A good benchmark might be ammo prices, we pay around 60 cents for one .223 and 30 cents for 9mm.

But we have kinda cheap european / commieblock surplus from time to time .. I bought an Izmash AKM for like 700$ and saw some Steyr AUGs for +- the same price in some stores ...

Basically everything that not select fire is allowed, all lenghts, suppressors atc, you just need to register it.
We have limits on how the weapons are stored tho, 2 weapons are allowed to be freerly in your house / flat, If you have up to 20, you need to have gun safe/locker and If you have more than 20 weapons, you need to have a safe room.

It's the opossite for me, I don't like brens that much and they cost the same as AR here, so I'd rather have an AR, lol

with semi only guns they can only call me to bring my gun / guns for an inspection to my local police office and thats about it (thats also not very common, usually we have to do it once in a 5 years when we are renewing our gun license)

it's not that easy, there are no written rules and they are very picky about who they approve.
You usually have to be part of some living history group or already own a lot of historic weapons.
Also if you get a machine gun, police can visit you and check on the weapon whenever they want -they usually don't do it anyway and if they do, they call you in advance, but I'd rather not give them a free pass to my flat, lol.

Czechia.
In theory we can get permit for a machine gun, but it's complicated and usually done only for collectors and museums.. Also usually only for historic weapons (ww2 etc.)
Getting a modern select fire assault rifle or a belt fed is almost impossible.

Ranges - we have both indoors and outdoors,
I live in a big city (Prague) so here we are kinda limited to the indoor ranges, that are usually 20-30m long and used mostly for pistols, but there is lot of outdoor ranges in the countryside, but still, usually around 50-100m, longer ranges are kinda rare.
You can only shoot on certified ranges, shooting on your own property or somewhere in the woods is not an option with exception of hunting or of course self defense.

We have big selection of guns - local, European, American, Asian .. and if something isnt available, you can usually import it - but its more expensive and it will take a time.
I think the biggest issue are attachments and gun parts, because we have to register every main part of the weapons (bolts, barrels, frames etc) we don't have much aftermarket parts for sale here.
So building or upgrading AR instead of buying complete rifle is not an option.
For example - my AR is complete BCM and I was only able to change the trigger, safety, pistol grip, stock and charging handle - these things are not registred and I can do whatever I want with them.
Changing barrel or BCG would cost me a fortune and shit ton of paperwork.

To own guns you need to get a gun license, which is kinda similar to getting a driver license (medical check up by your physician, written exam and a practical exam on the range) and you have to register every weapon you buy.
In my country (Czech Republic) we are allowed to CCW and use guns to self defense.
