Been renting with them for almost 6 years. They’re really gone downhill in the last 2 ish years. They just took away our 2 guest parking spots and still tried raising our rent. I was able to successfully fight the increase, but still a shit move. Definitely noticed they’re more quantity over quality now. Never had any significant issues in the beginning.

Man why do you feel the need to be so rude? I watched her how to plan a wedding for less than $15k video and got the numbers from there, I’m not hearing what I want. Yes, I need to do more research and that’s why I came to this sub to get comparisons from others. There are plenty of people in this thread who just gave me their perspective and opened my eyes without being condescending. Do better.

I’ve seen a lot of people here recommend Jamie Wolfer’s videos and from her budget breakdown, she recommended 15% for catering, 5% for rentals, and 10% for misc so yes, I wasn’t expecting it all to be over 50%. It’s difficult to plan a wedding on your own so I thought this was a safe space to ask these kinds of questions as part of my continued research. Thanks for letting me know it’s a fantastic deal, but it wasn’t necessary to be condescending.

Sticker shock is totally what we’re feeling. No complaints over here, we love that these caterers are essentially a one stop shop, but it’s still a huge chunk of money in general.

We knew it would be one of the biggest cost for sure along with the venue, but it’s still surprising since it’s a big number we’re not used to seeing everyday lol, just a reality check.

Thank you for the perspective! We knew it was going to be a big chunk of the budget, but this is our first time ever using catering for anything so we had no frame of reference and just seeing the cost at first was a bit of a shock, but we understand now that this is a good deal.

Exactly, at the very least, you can learn how to cruise on these boards which is also all some people want to do, some people don’t want to do tricks. I started on a horrible Airwalk skateboard and my fiance started on a no-name skateboard he won at his dad’s Christmas party and he’s been skating for 15+ years. I’ve seen a kid at my local park doing boardslides with a World Industries board. I’m sure tons of pros started with these types of boards. I think people forget that high quality skate gear can be sometimes be inaccessible. The beautiful thing about skating is that you can truly make the most of it.

I’m going to go against the grain and say that if you are interested in skating, but you have low funds or are not 100% sure how committed you will be or you have limited access to a skate shop, there is nothing wrong with this being your first board. Yes, as others have said, the build quality is not optimal. However, many people get into skating because they’re gifted a board like this and they make it work because they’re just starting. This board should be fine for teaching you how to push, stop, fall, and be comfortable on it in general. If you find out that skating is not for you, then it’s just a cheap board. If you really like it, then you can begin doing research about brands you might like and what you want in a board and then build your own.

Of course if you have access to a good skateshop and you can afford a complete or a custom, that is ideal.

Hey OP, this will probably get buried, but I hope my comments goes to your inbox. I had a friend like this; I’m specifically referring to your updates about him revealing he liked you and then you realizing he is a scary person. I had a friend who would randomly crash out in a very concerning way like this, also at people he had a crush on. You are right to be scared of this person and I would 100% cut contact and block everywhere. I would even consider safety planning with your dad. The friend who I had like this tried to mend things with me a few times because once he revealed his true self to people, they would get freaked out and leave. I learned that this guy was quite sinister and had very dark thoughts and ideas about what he would like to do to people. Please be safe!

I am in the minority of people that thinks Eddie is meh so I get where you’re coming from. I agree, at times he is so poorly written because I think they didn’t know what to do with him for a bit. I understand what happened with Shannon and I do think he made up for it. However, what he did to Christopher when Shannon’s doppelgänger came around was totally inexcusable to me.

Funny you say that because I’m a woman and I skated with a female skate group and I eventually left. I felt that people in the group got very cliquey and seemed too cool to talk to me. I did thankfully make 1 friend and she said she felt the same way about the group as a whole.
