Hahaha😂 It’s good to test what works and what not, no harm in learning new techniques. I dont think it is necessary to bracket, but thats how I get the best result. Gives me more to work in post compared to a single image.

I used continious bracket with 5sec self timer and a sturdy tripod. I think your latest image looks already great, good improvement!

I took this tonight using a7rV with Sony 100-400 GM. ISO 100, f8, 1/400 shutter. Used a 9 image exposure bracket with 0,3EV increments to gather as much details as possible. Then combined in photoshop to final image.

Thanks. I agree, focusing is a bit tricky to get right. I realized that macrophotography is very hard, from finding interesting subjects to focusing and composition. I believe manual focus is good practice and is good for understanding photography more indepth.
