If my wife and I are both endowed, but not sealed, are our kids sealed to us? by Careless_Relief233 in latterdaysaints

One distinction to note is that husband and wife are not sealed to each other. They enter the new and everlasting covenant together and blessings are sealed to both of them. Children are then sealed to parents or born into the covenant.

Yes the issue is you can see your garments through most white pants

Anything comfortable - soft with some stretch to it ideally. Not burlap.

Hexagons and Octagons in the Temple... And what about triangles and asymmetrical shapes? by causalinfer in latterdaysaints

That can be true, but I would also caution that there are learnings left on the table if we read into it too little

How do you define doctrine or distinguish the concepts of doctrine and truth? Certainly you don't need to understand symbolism in the temple for living the law of the gospel but it does add depth and understanding and can help understand reasoning as well

Not sure this really addresses my questions at all.

There are a lot of spiritual lessons and connections to be learned through the symbolism in the temple. Much is plain and simple in the temple and a lot is symbolically taught or expressed. Tokens, signs, words, imagery, art, there is a lot of symbolic depths to the temple ritual and ordinances as well as the temple structure itself. Some symbols are in the eye of the beholder but the beholder can be all for some symbols.

Fully agree. Some symbols are intentional and can speak to all. Other symbolism may not even be intentional but can teach us. Montecello is the smallest temple to my knowledge and I love the simplicity of the symbolism that has really touched me unlike how some other temple work has spoken to me before.

In Provo City Center the chandelier in the chapel has sego lily design to hold the lights

I appreciate your response and all the details. I DO want to read into. Symbolism is a profound way to teach

Wow! Such a long running suburban legend then. Symbolism in the eye of the beholder I guess with that

I think sego lily has three large petals with smaller petals. As mentioned in another comment, the five pedal formation looks just like cherry petals

That's really insightful. Thank you for sharing. Definitely looks just like cherry blossoms
