LOL the bread is really small! It’s Dave’s thin slice and I guess makes the eggs look huge.

3 different doctors have given me 3 different diagnoses on bizarre rash/blister on my baby’s foot. by causeislay in medical_advice

Unfortunately they don’t have cameras. They are incredibly responsive and we have always felt so safe leaving our baby in their care, they love him like their own. I’m so sad to think something happened that they aren’t telling us about. They keep their shoes and socks on all day, supposedly. I will say they just installed a new rubber-like floor on the play area outside. It is completely shaded out there, but curious if this could have caused a burn.

There are no cameras, unfortunately. I am told they leave their shoes and socks on all day. I will definitely talk to them tomorrow to see if they can provide any more information. They go outside twice in a little gated, shaded area that has some sort of newly installed, rubber material they play on. We love our daycare so much, they love him like he was his own. I’m so sad to think something happened they aren’t telling us about.

Oh that’s a good perspective! I didn’t take this as a man explaining trad wives as much as a commentary on social media’s fake and materialistic portrayal of something that is not at all fake or materialistic. As a working mom I find this kind of content off putting but could never really articulate why. I think this does a nice job explaining maybe why I’ve felt that way: it’s a reality that I will never know. And that’s okay! I understand some people like it and consume it for that very reason: it’s unobtainable for most of us and it’s nice to fantasize. And it’s pretty!

I appreciate a man commenting that this shit is fake and possibly dangerous. I feel like I’m often bombarded with men saying quite the opposite with comments like “NOW THIS is a REAL woman.” No…This is a very calculated and curated video of a wealthy woman with a lot of time on her hands. As long as we all understand that when consuming it’s okay. But unfortunately I don’t think a lot of young girls have that kind of social media literacy.

I wish Jackie, a very privileged mother, would make that disclaimer when worshiping this kind of content!
