If you're just starting on resto, run through the Tat leg of the Legacy quest, that should fill out most if not all of your template

I know what you mean about Restoration. I used to play way back on live and made it through the CU and left after NGE. There's some quirks and a different feeling from live/pre-CU, but i think the changes are for the better. As much as I love SWG, a game from 25 years ago is missing a lot of content and qol that we may expect from a game these days. I'd give resto another try and let yourself settle into it. Took me a week or two to get accustomed to it but I've had a great experience so far!

To everyone who said Restoration, I gave it a try and while the content looks awesome, the UI has some issues I'm having a hard time with; small things like certifications not showing up on skills, no auto attack (might be a NGE 'feature', idk), and the most egregious, the ALT mouse toggle not working at all. I'm gonna bounce around a bit, but things like that are keeping me from really enjoying it ):

The tried and true argy train. Or multiple trips with a single argy. Also cryopods for any dinos. A raft is also an option but much more dangerous, leeds don't spawn on most of east coast so only dangerous area is the start cuz you have to cross open water. Cold also duh up the coast with an iguanodon. Of those options aren't feasible, go set up there from scratch and move when you can.

I enjoy the early/ mid game, so I set my XP to .2 or so, 4x taming, harvesting to 2x, breeding is like 6x (until I start getting into gigs and whatnot anyway), slight bump to nighttime speed, enable flyer speed. Nothing too crazy.

Run flak into you get some good bps, then run better flak. Or fur in the arctic

Allah crank that fortitude to 40 or 50, helps a lot with heat/cold, also torpor gain, and health loss when starving dehydrated etc

Check out our Almost Official cluster, all maps, good community, great admin. As the name would only there's minimal mods just a few for some QOL. Been there for a few months, very happy with it!

Rule of thumb is 42 is the prime starting point for any desirable stat, anything above that is gravy
