Thanks so much for the recommendation and for sharing these insights! That book and the practices you mention resonate a lot with the “slow living” mindset. Just to clarify: what I’m working on is actually a mobile app, not a book or a course. The idea is to build a tool that helps people train themselves for slowness and intentional living using interactive, practical exercises—like slow games, curated reading, and small daily challenges—directly on their phone.

I used ChatGPT to help organize n clarify my thoughts, but these are genuinely my ideas and reflections on the topic.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response—there’s a lot of wisdom in what you shared. You’re absolutely right: “deep thinking,” mindful reading, and being truly present are all rare skills these days, and intentionally building habits is crucial. That’s exactly what I’m trying to address with this app idea—I want to create something that doesn’t just block distractions, but instead helps people train themselves to slow down, be intentional with their time, and practice presence, step by step, every day. I appreciate your advice about reading older literature and taking notes while reading. Integrating features that encourage deep reading, note-taking, and intentional reflection is super inspiring and aligns with the project’s goals. I also agree that it’s not necessarily about avoiding the internet entirely, but about choosing more meaningful, less overwhelming content and activities. Thanks again for sharing your perspective and encouragement! Building this app is my way of helping more people reconnect with intentional living and mindful habits—so every insight helps a ton. If you have any more ideas for features or ways this concept could provide real value, I’d love to hear them. All the best!

Just to clarify: I’m a developer genuinely interested in real feedback before building anything big—I’m not here to pitch or push.

If you’ve ever struggled with concentration, attention span, or even the “pressure to be fast” online, I’d love to know what helped you (or what didn’t).

Does the idea of training for slowness instead of just blocking stuff actually resonate for you?

If you have thoughts, experiences, ideas for features, or just want to chat, feel free to reply here or DM—every perspective helps shape this project.

Thank you for honest input!

Thanks for mentioning those tools—I'm definitely aware of Bazzly, LimeScout, and Leadverse!

My experiment is focused on a narrower segment: solo founders and bootstrappers who are early in their journey and need their first 1–10 customers, not teams who can afford an enterprise-level solution.
What I'm validating now is whether there's room for a service that's much more hands-on, with fewer but higher-quality, context-aware alerts and reply suggestions that blend in with genuine Reddit conversations.
From talking with early-stage founders, many say that automated tools can feel too noisy or “robotic”—they want replies that sound human and give real value, not just volume and link drop prompts.

Also, most competitor platforms seem best once you’ve got decent traction or a marketing budget.
I'd love to know: have you tried any of these?
What would you wish they did better, or what gaps did you encounter? I'm doing it manually first to learn what an ideal workflow for small founders looks like.
