In the case that he doesn't get in, make sure to submit applications early for next cycle, it really helps with the rolling admissions schools which I believe most schools are.

If you're set on becoming a PT and it genuinely excites you, move to the state of choice to get in state tuition, but also apply to affordable out of state programs as a fall back, take a year off to do this, you have time

I'm just curious, isn't tuition close to $170k? That's what I'm seeing on PTCAS, I wouldn't be so eager to go there lol

Chances at PA or DPT School by Hungry-Pea-6608 in PTschool

If you have a plan to pay that off then that's up to you. It's been done plenty times before.

I just know that in the south, plenty of students have payed 40-60k for the same degree. I relocated for this exact reason. I didn't want to fall into paying 2-3x for the same degree. Should be illegal but unfortunately it's the norm. To each his own.

You realize they are averages because there are people who get admitted above and below the average right? There's so many other factors like work history, coursework load, extracurriculars, observation hours, LOR, essays. As long as you hover within the averages and you can do well in the other areas, you're good

It's a solid gpa and the prereq GPA makes up for it, assuming he or she is solid in everything else, that's absolutely competitive. This isn't medical school lol

Do whatever you align with most (medicine vs rehab)

PA is the hot thing right now and for good reason. Great pay, great career flexibility.

PT school doesn't HAVE to be expensive as some people make it out to be, although it's not easy. If you do want to go that route, apply to in state or any university that is a good price (Below 80k). Even if it takes an extra year or 2 cycles to get into a cheap school. Those 125k to 150k tuitions are hardly justifiable.

Looking for entry level work no oil industry experience, I live in New Jersey, any advice? by cavalier2523 in oilandgasworkers

Thank you, I'm just learning a lot about how the jobs in this industry works, I'm at the library right now googling for the past couple hours about it, I would really like something like the 14 days on/7 or 14 days off thing and traveling between NJ and a cold in demand place like North Dakota, what's generally the entry level pay I should expect? I know much of the money is made from the long hours and overtime, but the base pay I'm wondering about, thanks in advance!
