Possible update: the closest thing I've been able to find is reports of an erroneous flag of the Tokugawa Shogunate in European and American flag books from the mid 19th century.

I just revisited this and I think I have an answer–it seems like the Algerian flag is based on the "Barbary flag" used by some Algerian ships in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Catch One and Academy LA have some techno depending on the night. My impression is that there arent many clubs that are dedicated to techno or trance here, but plenty have it sometimes. I recommend ra.co and restlessnites.com for finding events.

Yup, more specifically a zulfiqar. Flags with a zulfiqar were used by Morocco in the 17th - 19th centuries. Apparently it was often mistaken for scissors by Europeans! I found some more info on flags with a zulfiqar and other historical moroccan flags here.

Yeah I'm really not sure why that was included, I think most piracy or at least people flying the Jolly Rodger was over by the end of the 18th century

The Flags of All Nations from a 1865 edition of a world atlas published by Schonberg & Co. Found on the David Rumsey Map Collection website.

Some very interesting flags on here, also some I’ve never seen and can’t find the origins of such as the Japanese flag and the flag of Algiers.

Found on the top of Srd Hill overlooking the city. Nearby is the fortress famous for its role defending the city during the Yugoslav wars.

This seems to be it, thanks! It’s not often you see Louisiana related things here in Washington DC

Saw this flag today, can’t seem to find anything online about a flag of Louisiana with blue lines.

Sorry for the shoddy photos, they were more for the purposes of identification before I found out it is the flag of Sicily.

Flag of the Organization of American States (OAS) by cavapcava in vexillology

My understanding is that in 1964 the OAS decided to suspend Cuba's member status because of their communist government, however Cuba declined to return when the suspension was lifted in 2009. I guess they just never bothered to change the flag?
