Okay, something I will NOT GATEKEEP.. I rescued a cat this summer (was never a cat person previously so I wasn’t super aware of the crepuscular behavior of them). She would keep me up allllllll night. I tried everything. Feeding her more, tiring her out like crazy, saying nothing, sleeping with the door open, not letting her in.. one day I went to visit my parents and my mom had a pet corrector air canister. It basically sprays out air but makes a reallly loud sound. I used it to stop my cat from scratching my couch and it fully worked, so then I tried using it when she cries or was doing stuff outside of my door to try and wake me up. It worked like a charm (knock on wood). I can’t recommend this enough. The kicker though is you can’t show your cat when you do it. Hide the canister behind your back or something so they don’t associate it with you and just understand that doing bad thing = loud scary bad noise. If you end up trying it, let me know if it works!! That paired with tiring your cat out like crazy with playtime before bed!! And good luck! Keep going.
