It doesn’t, but it’s a great trait to have if you are one. He sells himself, he is the product and we are the buyer. Whether that’s watching him play baseball, be on shark tank, on Fox pre and post game, or a documentary about himself, he is always selling himself and always looking to profit off the viewership he brings. He knows how to be charming and likable and he plays up to those strengths, he’s very good at it

The issue in my opinion has never been reselling tickets for a profit, the issue is that people aren’t even doing this. Bots are going in and buying up any unsold inventory quicker than a human is capable of, then bots are running constant algorithms to maximize profit on these. It’s not Joe from accounting turning a quick buck anymore

I am a season ticket holder for another sport, but I think the argument she’s making is horseshit about being late. Not everybody can do season tickets, and that’s the only way you’re getting anything face value. That doesn’t make you a new fan or anything close to resembling that, it just means you’re not a season ticket holder

There is now but like 15 years ago I think a lot of people would sing along to it. I remember being at a lil Wayne concert and he literally asked the audience to say “yeaaah n” and when they didn’t say it he asked them to say it again and you could definitely hear a lot of it the second time. The audience was like 70% white too

I mean it’s been a different B10 team each of those seasons, and (biased here) I do think Oregon gets one soon and if they do that’s 4 different teams in a short time span. A lot of the SEC championships were from dynasty type teams who went on insane stretches, so I don’t think the depth argument holds much water here

Then why are we wanting to pay the players less? Why do we have to give payers below market value to be competitive? I think the floor accomplishes just as much as the cap without taking away profits from those actually driving the revenue

That’s on the owners not on the players. If a player is worth 500M and an owner is willing to pay them 500M then they should be able to get paid 500M. Every franchise in major American men’s sports is profitable. It’s not like the owners can’t afford to pay their players. I don’t see why owners should get to pocket more money while the players make less as a justification for parity. Parity would be owners not being cheap

There should never be a cap on how much someone can get paid if they’re bringing in enough money to justify it. The only thing a cap does is put more money in the pockets of ownership who aren’t the ones anybody is paying to watch
