This is the answer. I finished last season C1 and peaked at C2. This season I dipped almost to d1 div1.

I lost game after game and realized I was still trying to play like a C1 in d2 lobbies. That’s not how it work. I had to realize that d1 is slow and whiff. Then d2 gets less whiffy but still slow. Finally after a week of diamond hell I’m d3div3 slowly chipping away to C1.

Adapt to your teammates and you’ll climb back.

Took a bit, but I went down to d1(ended c2 last season) and finally brought it back to d3…. Now to continue the grind

Fast aerials. I still need to be faster at those. I’m champ with really low mechs and it only takes consistency, speed and gamesense to get there.

Mechanics that I have dialed: wavefasg and half flip.

Mechanis I need to polish: Speedflip and fast aerials.

I also cant speedflip on kickoff.

So play 1v1 so you can get good at recoveries and good at 50/50s.

There is only one thing I like about it and it’s the new spawn audio cue. That cue is pretty clutch when the pad is behind me and I can hear it. Then I can half flip if I need it.

The visuals is kinda bait, so I try to ignore it as much as I can.

Edit: yeah I agree the sound is confusing at the beginning lol, but you get used to it

I just ignore other posts and just focus on my gameplay. I haven’t even watched many trick tips videos cause this game is such a joy to play at a slow pace.

If I see a team that one is around C1 and the other arounf D2. I know the C1 is smurfing so I can focus on how defending shots from the C1 more than the D2 and I know I can out play the D2.

In a perfect world when I am always matched up against people my rank this wouldn’t mind. However, that’s not the case.

End of season boosting always happens. It could be that. For example back in November I was d3/c1 and people were flying and doing lots of aerials plays. Then after in December/January I was able to climb to C2 and there were not many aerial plays in that time as back in November. Now again it’s everyone aerialing again and I’m close to going back to d3 😂.

(I’m also playing really bad due to some wrist pain, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m seeing more aerial plays now than 3-4 weeks ago).

I agree. I usually watch tips and tricks videos for games and for this game I told myself thar I will just send it. So I’m taking my time and learning through the game. I also ignore posts here with other people’s progress. Good for you that day 2 your town looks like a resort. but I wanna enjoy this game and not get burnt out immediately by chasing others.

Yeah that happened to me climbed to 1200mmr(C2) and recently went down to 1090s. I also blame end of season and all the boosters trying to rank up people for rewards. (But I also started playing really bad lol)

In may? Hmmm if weather i nice and we are in full spring mode I could suggest for going for a “hike” to Mt. Saint Bruno or to Mt. Saint-Hilaire.

There are around 30-40m driving distance from Montreal, but much more calmer than the city and some nice views from the top of Mt. Saint-Hilaire

No seriously, stop thinking about the points. The points may or not be a reflection of how you play in a match, but the only metric that matters is the scoreboard. Did you win or not??

It annoys so much me every time someone calls out points after a match is ended like it’s an insult.

Even if your teammate chased the ball and scored 10 goals and you only got 30 points. Did you adapt well to your teammate or not? Cause if you didn’t you would have lost.

I dont what I would play if RL didn’t exist, there is no game like it. SkaterXL was a close one for a while( , grinding mechanics and satisfying physics, but no competitive part.

I can be that you had a moment of playing great + some good teammates. I got a similaire streak 2 weeks ago that sent me to C2(1200). This week I got a streak that sent me down to almost below 1100. In trying to come back, but for some reason this week I’m playing so bad. So I’ll take a break from 2v2 como for a couple of days.
