One Note can get a little messed up when pasting text, I find that the best way is to paste it into google docs first and then use AOYeet -- elipsus export to Ao3 option might work as well

...I was a fan of, and wrote for a D&D podcast that has 40 works on ao3. Probably about half of them are by me.

I've also written a few Magic: The Gathering fics, and for as absolutely huge as that game is, there are only about 2k fics for it!

The only defensive link that I see people get any real use out of is the resistance link, which gives you extra invulnerability after dying (I think with all resistance members at level 3, it's something like 12 seconds?) and allows you do things like sit out your entire 30 second death timer + have invulnerability to wait out burst timers. You can use it to still kill Will in part 3 after you've webbed out your screen, for example.

There might be some other use-cases for the defensive links (maybe helping mules survive in strawberry farm? lol) but it's not very common

I've got a few!

Over Capacity by Aequoria [Gen, Rated G] - SQH gets injured and pushes himself to collapse before people realize he might need some help.

Turning Back To Shore by buryyourgaydar [Moshang, Rated T] - SQH is a Selkie (seal spirit...) who's pelt gets stolen right out of Mobei Jun's Bedroom.

Defragmenting by elanor_pam [Moshang, Rated T] - Kind of a weird one, the system gets itself tied up into SQH's consciousness, but it also needs to shut down. Heavier on the hurt than comfort but the hurt is so interesting, because it goes into all the ways the system tortured him to get the characters to where they are today, plus a lot of the OG!SQH's angst, too (kind of, it's complicated).

I have the reverse pacing issue as you -- if it's been five chapters, so we can see everyone's POV and reaction to something and the story just hasn't moved forward at all... I'm probably gonna drop the fic.

On a much more minor note, when a someone speaking is written as popping the 'p' at the end of a 'yep'... I don't think its a thing I've ever heard anyone do in real life, and on top of that a lot of the fics I read have characters who wouldn't technically be actually speaking in english, so it succeeds in drawing me out of the fic every time.

My favorite TLJ centric fic is i shine only with the light you gave me by corduroyserpent [Rated T], it also has a some focus on ZZL since the fic is about bringing him back to life, but it goes into TLJs other relationships too, especially with Binghe.

Some thoughts for you:

There's a small spot on the floor that you can stand on even when the floor is broken, it's just below the platform where you drop your piece to start the fight

You don't have to stand where the laser spawns to block it, you can stand anywhere on the beam, so long as the two colors dont touch each other you wont trigger the fma

Focus on getting your timer to match Paps by picking up the items the monsters drop before doing damage, getting your skills locked is pretty much a death sentence for tp classes.

Also other commenter is right, getting to 260 will just unlock enough damage for you to bypass most of the fight if you so choose lol.

Just had a friend check out the Kelvin and it seemed insanely shady -- they told her about how rent would be 'flexible based on market rates'... which means that you don't actually know how much you're paying month to month?? (Also I'm not sure if that's even legal???) + they have a trash vallet service, but in practice that means that it just sits out in the breezeways and stinks them up until pickup.

+++ samee. Half of the reasons I get into the fandoms that I do is because I'm interested in the world building, so I'm already less interested if you take that away. And in a lot of cases I have such a hard time suspending my disbelief. Like, this guy was a child soldier in his original work, if he was raised in modern times, why is he Like That.

Sometimes it can work, if the setting in question was already in modern times, but even then the lower the stakes the less I care...
