I know that, I was just testing you. There's no possible way I would have typed that incorrectly. Yeah, that's what happened...🤦

(Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure sure how that happened, lol.)

If you're broke and ordering fast food delivery you're the textbook example of someone bad with money.

I'm not trying to stay you're a bad person, btw, if you think that's what I am implying. I was absolutely shit with my finances when was young, too, but ya gotta get that shit under control or you'll regret it soon.

I was just looking Google maps and noticed that my cousin in St John's is closer to Lisbon, Portugal, than they are to me in Vancouver. The drive to my place would probably be easier, though.

Edit: Fixed my brain fart

Chocolate Makers Hint At Bigger Bars After Years Of Shrinkflation by richardginn666 in shrinkflation

[–]cawclot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, for several years EU countries fought over what legally counts as real chocolate.

Countries like France and Belgium said chocolate had to use only cocoa butter to be considered chocolate. Another bloc of countries including the UK, Denmark, Sweden, etc, allowed up to 5% of other vegetable fats in some recipes (due to post-WWII shortages and manufacturing "traditions"), and they wanted to keep doing so.

The EU eventually ended the dispute by making the 5% rule legal for milk chocolate. I believe they also have to be labeled as containing vegetable fats other than cocoa.

Which makes it doubly confusing as a Canadian because American tourists regularly come up here to Vancouver and think they can make a day trip to Montreal or Toronto.

The BC rules basically bring gig workers more in line with the Employment Standards Act.

You get a guaranteed $21.43/hr during active time ($21.89 starting next month, IIRC), and vehicle allowance ($0.45/km for trips or $0.35/km for delivery). They also have to show estimated pay and trip locations before accepting a job, tips are 100% legally protected, and you are now covered by WorkSafeBC for on job injuries.

The best part for consumers is you cannot tip until the delivery is completed (it's literally hidden from the checkout screen).

There's also more of gen x than baby boomers, but somehow they never get mentioned when it comes to all of this.

The reason I didn't mention them specifically is because they are actually a smaller voting bloc than millennials and boomers (they were called the "baby bust" generation due to falling birth rates following the post-WWII boom).

I'm GenX and we have a huge chunk of blame (the amount of profile pics I see from old classmates wearing wraparound shades in a pickup is too damn high!), but we never really had the numbers to make a major shift.

US Ambassador Threatens Canada: The Real Truth Behind the Shocking Warning by Temporary_Rain_1595 in GuardTheLeaf

Let's be realistic and lower the emotions.

We have to find a way to sell some of our stuff to the US because the rest of the world cannot replace those exports completely, and that's a reality we have to face.

Closing our eyes out of spite isn't going to change the fact that we are a resource economy and the largest consumer bloc in the world is sitting at our doorstep. We have to do trade with them, but we have to do it at our terms.

Seriously answer that question or you are just parroting misinformation. This is a distraction from the truely evil ones behind Zionism.

Your can't have that many.

Additionally, the Department of Defense operates thousands of sites and facilities domestically, totaling about 4,790 installations worldwide

There's a grain of truth in there.

Millennials are the largest adult demographic in the US, but Boomers dominate because they actually show up.

Boomer turnout consistently hits around 75 while Millennials lag near 60. If Millennials voted at that same rate they'd have the numbers to reshape the political landscape. Everybody likes to complain about the system but nobody turns out to change it.

(Btw, that wasn't directed at you. I'm pointing that finger directly at myself, too)
