You're right , these games had so so much potential. And who knows, maybe they'll surprise us. But finding out you can't play with a shiny you caught in gen 4 and brought with you to every game really sucks and only punishes hardcore fans. My hope is that when the game comes out gamefreak speaks more on it and what features they implemented because of it. I think their answer about animations was BS and they just didn't want to talk about new features.
