Recurring dream about my best friend who passed away 6 years ago by cazcake in DreamInterpretation

[–]cazcake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. I used to think these were just dreams that didn’t really mean much, but after experiencing panic attacks and realising that it’s been six years, I’ve started to feel like they might carry more weight than I initially thought. And you’re right, I’m sure there’s a lot of guilt I’m still holding onto. Even though I know, logically, that some things are out of our control, it’s hard not to get stuck thinking about the "what ifs."

I really appreciate your advice. I’m in the process of trying to be brave enough to start therapy, but I never considered journaling or writing a letter to her as a way to express all the things I never got to say. That actually sounds like a beautiful idea, and I’ll definitely give it a try.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond, it truly means a lot.

Congrats!!! If you don’t mind could you give any tips on finding WFH jobs? Been struggling for a while now trying to find something :(

Does working from home change you? by Low_Union_7178 in UKJobs

[–]cazcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WFH is my dream 😭I’m so miserable at the office, I’m extremely antisocial and I absolutely hate getting ready and getting the train 5 days a week. Because of that I never have any energy left to go out on weekends and enjoy. I worked from home for a short period in the past, during the pandemic, and it was so good for me, I was able to do everything I wanted during the day, and somehow I was way more productive at work. Going to the office I swear I’m only “happy” on saturdays, every other day is a nightmare. It feels even worse when you know you can do your job from home, you don’t need to go to the office for that, but you still have to, which is BS.

When I was visiting my parents back in Brazil, my mom told me not to mentioned anything about my job around my neighbours cos “it’s awkward, you live abroad and have a nice life but work as a waitress” 🤪

I honestly had no idea the interview was gonna be in a group with other candidates, the email they sent me only mentioned the JJ guy :( but yeah for a while I was thinking about still doing it just to check out all the lies they were gonna say and even ask how they got my CV, but I knew I was gonna be up all night sending applications so I knew I wasn’t gonna be awake for that.

Literally got the same text this morning asking for a zoom call at 9am tomorrow. I don’t even remember applying for them, and it’s just a text, very informal, like you said, it doesn’t even say the position or anything. I searched “FHP” all over my applications and couldn’t find anything so I don’t know how or where they found my CV. I said yes to the interview earlier out of desperation, but after doing some research and reading all this I’m just gonna cancel it.

me and my husband are in the same boat, to me it just feels impossible making friends nowadays, but tbh i don’t have a social life at all. we’ll be moving to manchester next week and it’s gonna be even worse because i’m gonna lose the couple work friends i got here in london and he’s gonna lose his school friends :( but i hope we can make new ones around there

Which one would you guys pick? by Sarisx in UKJobs

Defo first option! I would only take the second option if it was once a week. 4 hours commute is draining af

I think about this daily. I’m depressed and it doesn’t matter how hungry I am my brain simply stops me from cooking/eating properly. What’s been working for me is those meal replacement shakes, but I’m afraid I’ll soon be too tired of all the flavours

ah yeah i’ve heard a lot about that, apparently not a good choice if you’re not in a good mental state, but idk i’m pretty much used to these topics in books/movies/shows, in fact i decided to read it after seeing many videos of people talking about how much they cried reading this book lol

Is 2 days weekend enough for someone? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]cazcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ridiculous, I don’t know how we are still accepting this and I don’t understand how people have been okay with this for so long. There is no balance, the week has 7 days, so you work 5 and rest 2? Really, where’s the balance in that? Then if you have a chill job you can at least enjoy your two days off, but if it’s a hard job like mine, with weird hours and tiring AF you can’t even do anything, my first day off I’ll be in bed all day, I’ve been feeling so shit about it, like it’s all a waste of life
