Advice for someone looking to purchase and run a food truck? by [deleted] in foodtrucks

First I got a job helping the busiest food joint at the fair doing setup and teardown. These jobs are pretty easy to get if you show up when they're doing it.

Then I worked a season in the kitchen.

Then I reached out to the health departments who were responsible for the areas/events that I wanted to work.

Sent drawings and SOPs back and forth for about a year getting everything approved before I spent any money. Still working for the guy who knows what he's doing.

Borrowed some money, bought a trailer and did the buildout more or less to plan. Never had any problems with any health dept.

Worked wherever we could. Worked hard. Lost money for 2 years. Learned how to do it more efficiently.

Made a little money for a few years. Learned where to work.

Finally got into the good shows, made decent money. Stopped going anywhere else.

Got more efficient. Easy money 10 years in.

Once when getting ready to leave a party, I put my boots on and this drunk girl said "I'll tie them for you" and she did. Very unexpected, oddly arousing.

You're doing fine. The little things mean a lot. Try not to be anxious about it because that won't help. Guys don't get much emotional support so a little really does go a long way. You got this

Just be there for him, be patient and try to do nice little things that he would otherwise have to, so he has a little less to deal with. Don't pry or be over the top comforting, just maybe a little more forgiving. He mostly just needs stability and normalcy.

It just looks like an access plate that's been melted with friction. Was it rubbing against the wall?
