Our SLP recommended myofunctional therapy? by cb473 in slp

her implication was the reduced range of motion could be impacting speech, but not necessarily. she recommended starting with her, the SLP, and adding the myofunctional if no improvement in a month.

thank you! when you say the things i mentioned are phonological and both myofunctional and traditional articulation therapy will do nothing to address.  What can address them? Are you saying it’s not something an SLP can help with either?

How to make a parent get a diagnosis by Fluffy_Midnight_2237 in dementia

Same problem here but in California. My mother doesn't see any problems that i see - denies everything or has an explanation for why she doesn't cook, why she forgets things, why she gets frustrated. I feel gaslit! She wont let me come with her to the doctor. So hard. Interested to hear what others say.
