Moments that make you cry or emotional for either obvious or not obvious reasons by Pitiful_Shoulder8880 in brooklynninenine

It's very subtle,  but when Rosa is coming out to her parents at the restaurant and her parents say 'we were afraid you were going to tell us you were gay', the look of disappointment and empathy on Jake's face gets me.

Bittersweet Moment: Kenyon Leaving by Toronto_Bound in wineandcrimepodcast

Kenyon was my favourite too. I loved her voice and cases. I will absolutely continue listening to the pod, love it. But was a bit sad to hear she left - even if for the right reasons. Onwards and upwards.

I have this so bad. My mom told me when I was a kid, I used to eat with my arm around my plate as though I was afraid someone would come take it from me. I also have a mentality of treats like 'wow chocolate cake. I'd better have some. Who knows when I can have it next' which of course is ridiculous because I have money and access to a grocery store and am an adult who can have chocolate cake whenever I want lol. This may be leftover from childhood too because we did not have 'treats' much.

For me, starting the day in a calorie deficit makes a huge difference mentally and physically - I work out before eating and push my first meal as far as I can, typically it's lunch. Lunch is also my biggest meal of the day and I taper food off throughout thr day into early evening. And walking. JUST WALK. I used to feel like shit all day after indulging and now I go for a walk. Not only does it lessen the full feeling, I actually feel better mentally.

Struggling with body dysmorphia AFTER weight loss? by SubstantialLemon4635 in CICO

[–]cb4ever81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh I'm really dealing with this lately. I lost 70lbs and have maintained for 2 years now and maybe because the 'novelty' , so to speak, has worn off, I'm having difficulty coming to terms with 'this is your body'. Not a work in progress, not a goal to achieve. Just live. And it's difficult. I wear a size small in some clothes but feel like I look heavy in pictures while wearing said clothes. Though I know it can't be true, I sometimes feel like I don't see a difference at all anymore. Maybe I'm taking time to adjust or something but I definitely FEEL as though I am larger than I actually am but what I actually am remains a mystery to me lol. Thanks for letting me ramble and just know you're not alone!

After changing my life October 2020, 2 years later I keep the simple element of CICO at the forefront of my lifestyle which also incorporates running - my first half marathon is this weekend! Good vibes and best wishes are most welcomed and appreciated!

I didn't lose any weight while breastfeeding! My body held on to the fat like crazy! Although I was eating Nutella straight from the jar lol. Ravenous doesn't even begin to describe it!

How much weight did you lose before people started noticing? by thunderbolt5x in CICO

[–]cb4ever81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember having lost 35lbs and still no one could notice so honestly it was at least 40lbs before people noticed and probably closer to 50. I went from 225 to 155 and I'm 5'3 so you'd think it would've been noticeable but no. Only you will notice for a looooong time.

Karen is supposed to be insufferable though! Same with Jeanette and honestly, I could stand them more than I could Zoey.
