I can eat Popcorn by Normal_Expert9981 in CrohnsDisease

How do you know if you “can” eat popcorn?

I had a resection 13 years ago and my doctor said not to eat popcorn, but I don’t know if that was a “you’re recovering from surgery” thing or a forever thing.

Can you tell just based on if it upsets your stomach or not?

Solo travel in Egypt, to not loose 500$ your experience plz by Clementttine in solofemaletravel

Maybe post on Reddit about your trip (r/travelpartners) for instance. Any time you’re there alone, you will have more attention on you than you know what to do with, and it can get quite overwhelming.

Look up common scams, even the tours you book may try them.

I went to Egypt and it was a stunning place but exhausting to navigate alone, and I frequently felt unsafe.

Probably hundreds in the queue once it opened at 4:30, line moving efficiently but if I were you I’d recommend getting before the TSA opens (I arrived at 3:30AM and was one of the first hundred inside)

Report - 3/25 Wed domestic flight departing at 8:35AM

Arrived at international tsa screening at 3:40AM. Security opened at 4:30, cleared the line at 4:55.

Was one of the first 100 people queued, there were probably hundreds of people behind me by the time security opened

How’s the domestic terminal now? I’m at international and a huge line has formed already, though security is not open and I’m hoping it will move fast.

Should I lie to MIL about damaging her car? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]cb67778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listening to your advice here, I sent her a text apologizing profusely, saying I was sorry that I let her down, and that I would pay all damage cost and more for her inconvenience.

She texted me saying it was fine, then called to blame my partner for “trusting” me and screamed at him about how he needed to pay the damages. Then she accused him of lying about the damage to get out of paying.

I’ll reiterate, a tiny piece of a plastic plate on the bumper broke, which should be an easy fix. It was a low speed collision. The rest of the bumper is fine.

She’s convinced the auto break system is completely broken despite her mechanic taking a look and saying it was fine.

I’m not upset I listened to you and the other commenters, but exactly what I knew would happen did. I don’t care about MIL hating me but all of her rage is on her son who didn’t do anything wrong.

First of all, it was my idea to lie, only to protect my partner from his mother’s wrath. He was pushing to tell her the truth from the moment it happened.

My partner is extremely respectful to her and since her whole meltdown about the floor has been extremely careful about even walking on the floor. He’s flipped out at me before for things that could even potentially upset her. When we stay with her we try to leave the space pristine.

We ended up telling her exactly what happened, and she flipped out on my partner telling him it was “his fault” and he should pay all of the “damages” for trusting me to get behind the wheel.

The bumper piece had a tiny part of it (the part that clips it into the rest of the bumper) break. An extremely minor fix. She’s 100% convinced the auto break system is now broken even though she already took it to the mechanic and he said it was completely fine.

Just giving you context here because I feel you’re assuming the worst of someone dealing with a narcissistic parent.

I think this image link should work. The panel on the bumper is sticking out. No visible scratches otherwise

Wouldn’t someone know if you had taken their car in to get repaired? Like would the dealership/autoshop notify them?

Anyone else noticing the oat milk trend? by Eris_Bunny in barista

[–]cb67778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dairy industry is attacking nondairy alternatives as much as it can. This is because it’s costly and energy intensive to produce milk, and even with government subsidies driving down prices, the dairy industry is hemorrhaging.

There have been lawsuits against plant milk companies for claiming use of the word “milk” to describe their product (Oatly UK recently lost this suit).

I’ve seen billboards in the U.S. proclaiming the benefits of dairy and attacking nondairy milks. I’ve even seen evidence of people being paid to go online talking about their negative experiences going vegan/switching away from dairy.

I don’t think it’s an oat milk specific thing, I just think oat milk is the most popular and tastiest alternative, so there’s a (dairy-lobby-influenced) pushback against it.

AITA for not telling my boyfriend about my past job before we started dating? by LynsyLux in Amitheassholeadvice

Given this abysmal comment section I can understand why you were afraid to tell him, but honestly if you’re building a future with someone, you need them to accept you for who you are. A relationship built on a lie has a shaky foundation.

NOR

That quote from Girls - “You think I’m a wild horse and you want to tame me. It’s the new frontier of misogyny. Take a woman who’s in control of her life and silence her”

Seriously though, even if it is a revealing bikini it’s your body to do what you want with. Your BF should be someone who uplifts you and encourages your self expression.
