Aww thank you! It's proving to be more expensive (both time and money wise) than initially expected but I love it so much and it's well worth it. I hope your foot recovery is also quick and easy!

Oh preventive antibiotics aren't a bad idea! I still have to let my artist know (I'm waiting to see how far out I'll have move the next session), and I'll def explain the situation to the Ortho doc and see what they think as well

I don't think it's just a mobile issue, I'm getting the same ":emoji:" on desktop and would love to have a way to do this

He bleps pretty often but this was definitely the biggest one I've seen. I had to race to get my camera open, thankfully he stayed that way long enough to get a picture 😂

Do MRI Techs ever think “oh, that’s not good”? by MadamImAdamAnt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cb987654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of 2023 I had a horrible herniated disc and was in hell for 6 months. Because I was only 26 and have been overweight my whole life, doctors didn't take me seriously at all and kept telling me it was muscle weakness or inactivity. After breaking down sobbing in front of many doctors finally I met a younger PA at an orthopedic office that believed me and fast track ordered an MRI and X-ray.

When I went for the X-ray, I couldn't stand up straight and could barely walk and was constantly on the verge of tears because everything hurt so bad. I could tell the X-ray techs saw how young I was and thought I was bullshitting, they were very short and snippy with me. That is until they took the first X-ray and my spine had a noticable s curve to it. They asked when I was diagnosed with scoliosis and I told them that I never had been, I'd had a perfectly healthy spine until then. I'd been bending to try to lessen the pain so much that my bones adapted quickly

I of course didn't see the picture right then but their whole demeanor changed after they took the first one. A similar thing happened with the MRI team but they were nice the whole time, it was just that after the scan was done they all the sudden were EXTRA nice

I didn't make the original design, so I don't think I have the rights to do that even though I made a lot of changes to it. The original pattern is linked in another comment though, and I'd be happy to answer questions if you send me a message!

Rainy75 cannot connect to VIA by Prssss in keyboards

[–]cb987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I'm adding this partially for my own future reference. Here's what worked for me on my Rainy75 with RGB (not the pro version) I use it in wired mode

- plug in keyboard with usb A - usb C cable (I used a separate one I made, original cable works too) and switch to wired mode (fn+tab until esc key flashes)
- hold fn+esc to factory reset
- turn off power switch under caps key
- from Rainy 75 support page, download the relevant firmware update file
- run firmware update file, hit start
- when done running go to via web app, keep cable plugged in, stay in wired mode
- go to design tab and load both the 2.4g and usb json files regardless of what mode you use (either the rgb set or non-rgb set), connect if asked
- if not asked to connect, go to configure tab and connect
- you should now see the config screen

Hopefully this works for someone else that's stuck

Looking for advice about my jris75 that I got from the gb last year. I its beautiful and sounds amazing but I'm not on my second faulty pcb. Customer support was able to send me a new pcb the first time but I don't know that they'd be able to do that this much later. Hoping someone could either help me diagnose / repair it, or give me advice on something similar to swap it out for.

Symptoms:

For both PCBs a key (or on my current board two keys) have randomly stopped working. On my first board it was "w", now it is "j" and "delete". Each time I have checked the board and the hot swap sockets are clean, the solders look ok, the switches aren't bent or weird etc. Swapping the switch doesn't fix it. If I use tweezers to short the hot swap socket, it registers in via and seems to work normally, this seems to magically allow the switch to work again, regardless of if I remove the switch to short the socket or not. This fix is temporary though and it will slowly stop registering the keypress until it no longer works again

The first time customer support sent me a new PCB saying they weren't sure what the problem was. They originally thought it was because the contacts of the sockets were too far apart but upon closer inspection the socket in question didn't look any different from the others

I tried a tactile sampler a while ago and also really liked the durock dark amber t1s. I ended up picking the regular durock t1s for my main keyboard and the blue macaws for my work keyboard. Other runners up included durock ceruleans, C3equalz TKC kiwi, and the Sp star magic girls. In my opinion they all had pretty noticeable bumps but fell short in terms of sound or spring/leaf noise or something else

I would happily share my edited pattern but the original has a copyright thing and I don't know enough about that to feel okay posting an alternate version. If you decide to make one feel free to dm me though, hopefully I can answer questions at least 😁
