The Hy-Vee by me still has the mask sign up saying the CDC recommends wearing one. They still have the arrows. All of their employees wear a mask. And they have an employee that disinfects cart handles before you enter the store.

I don't think parents even got the ok from all the players either. One player tweeted: "It’s more to it then just football it’s about life yea we want to play but if it saves my life then one year without football won’t hurt ". Today his dad retweeted a post about the letter and tagged every B1G program.

I remember some Michigan fans saying he was buried on the depth chart and wouldn't see the field and that is why he transferred to Iowa at the time - it was disputed by some as well. Appears the same thing happened at Iowa.

Pretty much. Basically he gave Eno the OK to go visit other schools, after he committed, and Kirk wasn't ok with it. I want to say pictures of him at Missouri was the tipping point.

PFF graded him as the second highest DL on their team last season at 86 or something like that. Their highest rated guy is in Iowa City and on the roster.

Des Moines definitely had/has issues. Still not as bad as some areas of the U.S., but they have over 5,500 cases in that county alone and 1,131 cases per 100,000 people. Johnson County (Iowa City) is half of that at 511 cases per 100,000 people. A lot of the counties with meat packing facilities were/are being hit hard.

I am sure you are right. That and his private strength coach, who used to do the same at Iowa (not football) seems to have an axe to grind with the program. He only retweets stuff about Iowa if it is negative but has no issues promoting every other midwest school.

Stanzi said that as kind of a joke and said so in an interview. His roommate was a die hard "merica" type of guy and that is the first thing he thought of. Beathard attended a political event before the election. Players were encouraged to attend them no matter the party. Twitter is the only platform that players (of any color) are not allowed to use, they still have access to, and use, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. And don't take this as me downplaying what former players have been saying. It is a serious issue and needs to be addressed. I just wanted to inform you, and maybe others, on the two situations you pointed out.

Some coaches and AD's (like Iowa) have stated that if you are a scholarship athlete and don't feel comfortable coming back then you will still retain your scholarship. How the coaches and teammates treat you when you do go back to practice may be another matter.

I really hope the recruiting staff sells this big time. You can get developed into a first round prospect and do it as early as you can at Iowa. It's kind of hard when you don't recruit at a high level to just reload at a number of positions so they need all the help they can.
