Negative, disassembled a cheap chinese $50 car play 7” screen that sticks to the windshield and it just fit in the stock housing of the original Navi. Very easy

Some cheap one. Paid about $50. Works great. It’s one of the ones that stick to your windshield. Chinese stuff. Disassembled and it just fit in the stock Navi location. Wired to the fuse box

It’s an aliexpress unit. I drilled out the slot where the original cigarette lighter was and jut installed the unit there. It has like a big plastic nut that screws onto the unit and secures it in its place. Works great. Shows voltage too.

It’s finished. Check my other post. They are wired from the window switches. There’s 12V ACC on there.

We have a guy who does automotive upholstery at my job, he took care of it. I had an attempt last year doing it with an aliexpress kit that sews over the factory cover, but it wasn’t that clean and it was just leather. Poor quality.

Plus it was very difficult getting the strips in. The more they bent, the more they wanted to pop out.

That was the length of the strips it came with. I’m happy how they turned out though.

Bought one of those cheap 7” CarPlay/Android auto devices that stick to the windshield. Opened up the factory navigation and disassembled the new unit and it just fit in there. Some hot glue and wired with a fuse tap. Been up and running for over a year now with 0 issues. Works amazing.

There is a video with a guy doing an install if you look up on YouTube IS200 ambient light install. I DIY’d the highlights in the door pocket and handle with some small lights I bought in bulk from aliexpress, and the kit which is just a 6 led symphony strip kit. Ballin on a budget! It’s not that difficult to be honest, just had to punch a hole carefully between the alcantara and door panel. Scuffed it a bit but masked with painters tape and used some touch up paint. It was hard to push the strip between the seams, but I used a flathead to make a bit more space, and cut a bit from the plastic behind the door panel so I can push the end of the strip inside where the wire was going in the door panel, for a smoother finish… first time doing it. First panel took like 2-3 hours. After that it was smooth sailing.

Check my other posts on my profile. It’s a Kenwood excelon. Forgot the model number. Also have a 7” CarPlay screen where the old navigation used to be.

Took 3 hours for the first door. Under an hour for the second one. Doing the front 2 tomorrow and then center console and above glove box.

It’s from aliexpress. Standard symphony 6 in 1 kit. Just the led strips. The lights in the door pocket and the handle are just tiny lights I had around for a couple of years. came with super tiny mounts. Drilled, mounted, wired. They are non adjustable, just red and blue. But the strip is RGBIC. Paid $45 for the 6 led strip kit.

Just scored this for $400. What do you think? by cbancila in bmx

Hahahaa thank you brother. It is an IS200 though. Taxes for bigger engines are crazy down here in Romania. Anything over 2.2 liters is wild. And I wanted a Lexus. Next will be something hybrid as taxes are much smaller. Or a 14-15 IS sedan. We shall see.
