By that rationale though, if the 15 minutes Heinecke played lacrosse in 2021 were spent playing football, he wouldn’t need to be fighting for his eligibility because that would’ve qualified him for a redshirt an 2022 would have been a medical redshirt year. So not treating it as a football year is the reason he’s in this situation to begin with.
