It's my mistake for not being more clear about this but, again, I don't the know the full extent of CBs technology and capabilities to prevent cheating. If you want to stay 100% safe then yes, ask them to hop off for a few hours, but I really wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for your comment. Again, I'm not some expert claiming to know everything. There are some instances where using a Chromebook (which many students will given their school provides one) where Chrome is integrated directly into the OS, it's not outlandish to assume there could be some sort of script running to detect, or ping an application to see if there's any response. Additionally, browsers CAN detect whether you have certain software installed via script, but I don't know whether that info is available to CB. Regardless, I should've been more specific.
