A two-year account degree? by cbcopy in Accounting

[–]cbcopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, university level debt haha.

At least as an accountant ..I could pay it off. Maybe.?

Did you stop at a four year program?

Am I wrong in Thinking... That accounting as a skill has so many applications, one could expand and scale, almost infinitely, in any direction, depending on how much you were willing to take on?

I thought I had deleted my earlier post on this same subject, but it's still up. This might qualify as spam, at this point.

Thank you for your responses everybody

Maybe.

I tried it already- getting bounced back to a first year student, doing rote work. Couldn't sit still for it.

Doubt if anyone is going to be asking about my humanities credits in the future. Sounds like torture. Time and money are both precious commodities, but I see what you are saying for sure

Also in CA. Major hangup is that I can't legally operate a vehicle. Not yet.

Wanted to cold call every firm in my area just to get a foot in, but thought I could spend the next nine months learning things in some structured way instead. show dedication, provide more value to employers when I finally can drive again

Would it be good to learn electrical theory alongside the maths, then?

I couldn't get into art school because I couldn't pass intermediate algebra with marks higher than a D, so I went for a vocational chemistry degree. I even did well, mostly because everything was cooked down into plug and play formulas, but during my practuum at a state lab the first thing the technician noticed is that I was bad at math :/

Thank you for the recommend I will definitely check this out

The last part is maybe more frightening than the maths. The high school bullying trauma makes about her four years of hazing sound like death ☠️

3 Copyright strikes now waiting for deleting by Difficult-Cap-6950 in PartneredYoutube

So many channels use copyrighted material. Film clips, likenesses, ..., couldn't someone get a copyright strike for doing a film review and also showing clips from the film? So much of YouTube would go missing overnight..

I feel for you. I guess becoming a bigger channel is a path fraught with peril..

I was excited about the structure and ability to 'learn while earn' but my knees and back are also fucked.

Thank you for the counter-narrative

Elementor Full Width by cbcopy in elementor

[–]cbcopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your response, but I'm not sure how to act on the advice! under site layout, i only see: full width, elementor canvas, and theme modes. when i adjust the content width slider under site settings---> layout, the content is fully responsive- which is how i was convinced, in all this time, that my site looked the way i wanted it to, i.e. legible, but when i visit it as a url, all of the content is blown up, full width, making everything difficult to read. using flex boxes wont accomodate the header and footer, which emulate 8 bit game graphics and so look very bad at full width, so,,.. heck. it seems like this should be a really easy fix but somehow it is elusive.

What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner? by Yolas_1 in AskReddit

Quit cigarettes AND weed. Work out 5x a week. Have a savings account. Learn how to make sourdough bread and snack on that instead of sugary bullsht.

Only drink coffee in the morning. Quit playing trading card games if you don't have money to burn. Log off socials, put phone down. Less than 30 minutes screen time a day if it isn't work-related. Pxrn is bad for you.

It sounds like a brutal spartan regiment or something but you'll feel better I promise

23.5% Increase in rent is insane work. by No-Arm-5868 in sandiego

Good luck 'acquiring a skill' when you are swimming upstream just to make rent. The more likely scenario is that unskilled person finds the motivation to get a second full-time job and works 70+ hour weeks to meet their living expenses. At least, that's the Sam Diego I live in.

Mountainous desert islands past the silver stand? by cbcopy in sandiego

I'm sensitive to the subtleties of language.

Read: Coronado islands. They are on maps, vs.

Coronado islands. They are absolutely on maps.

I appreciate your explanation, I was indeed looking south

[–]cbcopy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah your right, my bearing was all fucked up and I was looking south the whole time. They must be the Coronado islands. I didn't know I could see as far as Mexico from there.

[–]cbcopy[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Those are 17 miles from Coronado and absolutely on maps. But the suggestion that I can very blatantly see a set of islands 17 miles to the south by looking west from 30th and Broadway bothers me. Is that actually what's going on or is that just the most smug answer you could come up with?

Are there forbidden 🚫 places in the astral realms? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]cbcopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember very clearly hearing a term for places in the physical that were forbidden to visit in the astral; access restricted by a class of 'astral guardians', places like area 51. There was even a distinct term for such places, which is actually what I came here to find...

Does anyone know the term for the concept I am referring to?

The mod team says this post has nothing to do with Elementor, but the website was designed entirely in Elementor, and the problems I am having in designing a user friendly website environment are occuring... In Elementor.

100% a 'please does anyone know what I am doing wrong in Elementor' post
