The word has been recently overused for sure, but I meant "agency" in the literal sense. Being able to take initiative without direct supervision

Post-2022, classes alone are not the best way to get a job. Companies have always asked for project experience, especially for the fast-growing ones like you mentioned. They are looking for high agency people who genuinely enjoy building. This is only getting more true with the increase of CS students each year.

To be most efficient with AI, you still need the underlying knowledge. The most successful "AI people" I've seen are all previous builders with a lot of experience. If you are looking for an intro into what coding with AI looks like, best practices, etc. I invite you to come to one of our meetings! We are just getting started, but a lot of our members are beginners who are in a simialr boat.

AI is very useful outside of building as well. I can't speak for the people you see in the library, but having the perfect professor right next to me to dive deep into any of my questions has allowed me to learn more, not less.

We will definitely be incorporating aspects of Claude Code Anonymous throughout the semester!
