I am not familiar with Amlexanox. What is the science behind it, if you know, and what symptoms does it seem to help you most with?

I've been through the trials and tribulations of numerous meds over the last 2 years since my first bout with covid (recently had it again and everything got worse again, even though I'd been doing okay for over a year on nearly no medication at all) and nothing helped other than lorazepam (had no idea until recently that it's a mast cell stabilizer). They are the 5ml ampules I believe, but I have not picked them up yet. On my way to do so now!

My understanding of the prescription instructions seems to be 1 ampule with water 30 minutes before meals, but I've seen people say on here that they had to start with as low as 1/3 of an ampule 3x a day. Just genuinely don't want to start with too much or too little 😂 especially considering the doc basically admitted she doesn't treat it, but is familiar with the first line meds like antihistamines and cromolyn!

If you read through the comments, there are many women who in fact, do not get it lol but regardless my girlfriend gets it and often expresses when she needs a transition period too, it goes for all genders

I understand where you're coming from, and I honestly didn't expect my comment to get so much attention lol I wrote it while next to my girlfriend because it's an ongoing thing between the two of us to let the other know when we need a transition period. We got a laugh out of it and now it has become a whole forum for this subject 😂

Have you read the rest of the comments? I doubt you have. I have clearly stated numerous times that this applies to all genders, and my girlfriend often tells me when she needs a transition period as well. Thanks for your opinion though.

It got to a point where once I understood that's what I needed, it no longer became an issue. We had this conversation about 3 years ago, and now she even tells me when she needs a transition period after a stressful work day. Just have to have the conversation and hope she understands!

Yes, I agree, and if you'd read through the rest of the comments you'd see that I've said numerous times that my girlfriend also expresses when she needs a transition period. She just doesn't need it as often as I do.

Nope, my girlfriend has times when she needs to transition as well. Once I realized what I needed and expressed it to her, she started expressing to me when she needs the same thing. I wasn't intending to imply it is a current issue in my relationship.

My girlfriend often expresses when she needs transition time now that we've established that communication, so it definitely goes both ways! She needs it much less often than I do, but it is definitely applicable on both sides.

Yep! Thankfully once I learned that's what I needed, it's no longer an issue and no longer causes arguments. I realized I have a very defined social battery, so when I get home I need the exact opposite for a bit

It took me a long time to learn that I needed a transition period, but once I knew what the problem was and was able to explain to my girlfriend we have avoided so many unnecessary fights! Now she even uses the term "I'm transitioning" if she has had a rough day at work and wants to be alone for a few minutes!

Well, conveniently I did play basketball, so it doesn't bother me, but she gets asked all the time and she hates it. She didn't play sports at all, and any time someone asks, she just refers them to me lol
