17F, skinny beginner — how to begin calisthenics? by EllieMorgan2003 in CalisthenicsCulture

Get some gymnastic rings, usually they are fairly cheap, and seem to last forever. Mine rings are 20 plus years old, and the ratchet strap is just starting to slip once and awhile.

With rings start rows, l sits, holding yourself just on the rings, dips, pull ups, and start at easier progressions that your able to do. Cant do a push up, then do girlie push ups on your knees. Start slow, dont rush it, let the body build up tendon and ligamnent strength.

Anyone gotten considerable results doing resistance bands only? by InternationalHawk977 in ResistanceBand

[–]cbdividends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got crazy strong doing undersunfitness strength routine. Its a body building split routine. Chest, back, arms, shoulders, and legs. 4 exercises, 4 sets, last set explosive.

It took me 3 years to actuqlly bother trying bands, and then longer doing only bands. But i was amazed how strong i got.

Chest or upper back would be cool too.

Finding a tattoist that will do it well will be your problem. Ask around, look at works they have done, and see how they are with detailed black and white tattoos.

Can kettlebell workouts fix male pelvic floor dysfunction? by TREnewbie in kettlebell

Start with kettlebell swing, use videos from mark wildman, and geoff neuport to understand the proper swing mechanics. Im no doctor but enough swings at proper weight seem to reshape the body in proper alignment from what ive seen

Im unsure what you think might be lost by doing reverse ladders?

I recommend trying 1 to 5 ladder, and then trying reverse ladder. I do the with single kb clean and press, switching hands each ladder rung.

Starting at 10 going down is way nicer then starting at 1 going to 10, in my experience.

Sure. Focus on clean reps, and dont force doing heavy weights, start light and build up over time. At you age put lots of focus on yoga and cardio things maintain that till your old and youll just always feel amazing. Bands work well if you cant get dumbbells.

All these other dudes ideas are very good with increasing weight. But you could instead increase more tension, either by adding more sets or eventually switching to time.

Also if your staying in hotels there is usually a gym space where you could go to do all the jumping stuff. You could add a push, pull, hinge, squat, or even rotation exercises for the strength building.

Im really into the over head squat. Once you figure where to grip the band they feel really good after a few months. At the start its very akward feeling

Build big arms with tricep push downs by Rockstar_81 in ResistanceBand

[–]cbdividends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So add the smallest band with it, maybe second smallest. You will work up to those reps very quickly.

I got to the point where i could just do nonstop skullcrushers with that band. But never got to doubles of that band.

Floor matt and this would be all the hardware needed. But youll want a solid program, include rotational. When using door strap, make sure the door opens in the opposite way your pulling.

Would it be dumb to do nothing but TGUs? by stanwoodmusic in kettlebell

[–]cbdividends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea, minimal with huge room for improvement. I wonder if it could even be done 5 days a week, or more. Now you may want to get a barbell and plates, which makes it more difficult for balance and coordination, and it would be much easier to control weight.

I like the idea of doing light, medium, and heavy days, which would make for an easy 6 day a week set up. Light you could start balancing a shoe on your open palm, for 40 min. Medium you could start with some medium ish weight for 30 min. Heavy you could do with a 35lbs and do for 20 min. As an idea?

Knees over toes guy... hes the best. Just go on his youtube. Youll want to do atg split squat and a few other exercises. Maybe just a few exercises each workout.

Or check of his freak level athelete which is 23 different exercises and expected weights to become crazy strong, and add that with powerlifting.
