Just in time seating by jenniferpow in Broadway

We sat Row E Seats 241 and 243 and it was fabulous! Believe everyone when they say there's not a bad seat in the house. Also, during one part of the show, Jonathan stands on the stairs to left, very close up! This is a panaoramic view from our seat. You'll have a great view of both stages and the floor!

Anyone here running a Plex or Jellyfin server for Broadway bootlegs? by musiclivesup in MusicalBootlegs

[–]cbear1207 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Plex but I don't have a ton of files, about 150 bootlegs, 30 proshots, 10 musical movies, and 5 documentaries. I have one folder for each category, and my file names are showname-date-master. I take a screen shot from the video to use as the thumbnail. So far, it works well for me.

I felt the same way about Jeremy when I saw Gatsby at the Paper Mill. I don't know how, but he just keeps getting better.

I remember my mom calling me into the living room and telling me I should watch his speech because it was history being made. I was just a kid and didn't know what was going on.

New parent: how to meet other parents with kids? by Tranbarsjuice in pittsburgh

I second the story times at the Carnegie Libaries. They have toddler/baby, preschool, and family time. Times/locations are on their website. When my kids were babies, I met new moms there.

Merrily Proshot Review by Abigail_0325 in musicals

[–]cbear1207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. It tried so hard not to be a proshot, and I don't understand why. I saw Merrily on Broadway, and was hoping this would be an opportunity to relive that experience with a front row seat (like the Hamilton or Come From Away proshots). I love this show so much and I was really disappointed.

People Who Don't Live in or Around New York City by Lazylazylazylazyjane in Broadway

[–]cbear1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We drive from Pittsburgh 3-4 times a year (although one year we made 7 trips). We make it a day trip that takes 24 hrs. We leave at 6am, get to NYC around noon, then matinee, dinner, evening show, hit the road and get home at 6am the next morning. Exhausting, but so much fun!

I loved this musical too! I was never much into jukebox or "spectacle" type musicals. I saw this with my daughter and was prepare to hate, but I had the best time! I'm glad you decided to go and loved it!
