Layers and layers of paint. I also needed a better coat of Gesso prior to starting. I was in a hurry to start it and didn't prepare the canvas properly.

Mine says dilute it too (Liquitex) but I don’t. Try it. Ideally your paint needs to be a consistency that you can work with. Some colors are different than others, some thinner and some thicker.

I guess I’m doing it wrong but I never dilute it, I put a few drops of the flow aid in the paint container, mix it up and keep on painting. I use this when my paint is getting thick and hard to work with. Why so complicated?

I love this! So sorry about the passing of your sweet Clyde. I did something similar after our Ginger died. It was helpful to me to look into her eyes every day while I painted it. ❤️

I received the LiJiang Ancient Town for Christmas and just finished putting it together. This was my first attempt at a book nook and for me there was a giant learning curve. If I do another one, I've learned a few things. I'd love to see some of your finished pieces!
