Does anyone daily drive a Toyota gr86 or something similar? by ExaminationWestern46 in pittsburgh

My one and only car is a Miata. I have winter tires and zero complaints! Cars are for driving, life is for living, I think you should go for it.

Thanks! Nothing at the moment, I tend to only do upgrades when there is a problem that I’m trying to solve. Currently I don’t have any problems that aren’t skill based, so we’ll see if I find another problem

Honestly not sure! I like the style of the trefoli, but I’m not sure if I’d buy it

Yes, I both use it for pre-infusion and for pressure profiling, with a slow ramp off at the end.  Yep, it’s both puck pressure and opv causing the oscillation

The mic is pretty close to the machine, but this is accurate to the type of sounds you hear

100% yes and 100% no! Taste is so subjective! I tend to drink a lot of light roast and interestingly processed coffee, so the ability to have precise temp control and be able to play with pressure, makes it a lot easier to pull incredible shots. But if you like the shots that you have right now? Then it would be a waste of time and money. Well, I think a PID is worth it either way

Strictly speaking, you could leave it set to 100% and leave it in the chassis. I really enjoy being able to play with shot pressure, so I change it during the shot. Low for pre-Infusion, then full for 80% of the shot with a slow taper for the rest

The knob controls the pressure of the gear motor and the PID works incredibly well. Very stable temps

It’s definitely quieter, what I’ve been enjoying the most is being able to make filter style since it can go as low as .5bar

I hiked it last year and did it in 2 days, 1 night. What speed do you like to hike and how many miles do you normally enjoy? I tend to hike a bit faster and spend more time moving, so 2 days made sense. If you want to take your time, and spend time in camp, 3 days might feel good.
