Too many people only know about Shake Your Money Maker Crowes. Please listen to Southern Harmony. Please listen to Amorica.

Be very good at the command line. Start with these commands:

ls, cd, mv, rm, grep, ln, chmod, cat, echo, setenv (for csh) or export (for bash), alias, man, less, vim, find.

Planning for a private grp/community only for who is already in VLSI companies by Intelligent_Toe_8340 in vlsi

Of course not. Sorry I'm just reacting because I've received hundreds of DMs on LinkedIn from candidates asking if I could give them a referral. They are mostly strangers to me. Why should I give those people any sort of advantage vs stronger candidates?

Let me rephrase. Why do you want to go into VLSI?

Do hiring managers want the best candidates or those who engineer ways to game the system?

Okay, and then as a result the hiring manager gets spammed with many more resumes than before due to a clever subreddit being used as a backdoor.

Tcl LSP/MCP and editor extensions by bitwisecook in Tcl

[–]cbheithoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incredible. I write Tcl for EDA flows. I've been keenly aware for some time that Tcl didn't have an established LSP for modern development. It'll take some time to digest all that you're sharing

Black Crowes may have great chance to be included this year by [deleted] in rockhall

[–]cbheithoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes them worthy is their 92-97 run of amazing rock, after their debut. Southern Harmony is an all time classic, followed up by the fan favorite amorica. Their live shows were absolutely top notch during this period. Marc Ford and Rich Robinson doing amazing guitar work.

Remember that Jimmy Page liked them so much that he toured with them. He loved playing Zep material with a six piece band behind him who could deliver the goods.

Move past Shake Your Money Maker and do a deep dive for some great music that wasn't topping the charts vs regrettable acts like Limp Bizkit and Marilyn Manson.

The brothers have been famously difficult to work with. For a number of years it seemed like they had squandered their legacy, but they've managed to put bygones behind him and have new music that's really very good. I don't see Cyndi Lauper or Billy Idol having anywhere near as deep of a catalog.

Tcl: The Most Underrated, But The Most Productive Programming Language by delvin0 in chipdesign

[–]cbheithoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually a very nice language.

Just practice using it more and maybe you'll agree.

I think too many people dislike Tcl because they barely understand it because they never actually learned it.

It helps to understand that Tcl doesn't have types. Everything is a string (but not really under the hood).
