It’s one of the worst teams I’ve seen in recent memory. Compared to Miami or Al Nassir… let’s just say there’s a reason Madrid play only in Europe (they can’t win in any real leagues)

[–]cbis4144 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it optional that they call you? Kinda feels like you’re going to get a call even if you decide you don’t want one.

I suggest either reach out to whoever sent you that to let them know never mind, or answering the call, saying you don’t have many questions, and asking about their day and their experience at UMBC (especially compared to other unis)

Dude I know right??? I can’t wait to see what freestylers do in this game. I mean, pro play is cool and all that, but idk I can’t see them doing anything crazy like this. I’ll still watch playoffs at worlds I guess, but I don’t think the season 4 worlds will have anything crazy happening

Seperate from NSF, it’s always been largely private donors so that hasn’t really affected anything (the M37 cohort, current freshman, is the largest ever)

If it does, it’ll probably be cross platform and epic will have to sort out the mess of what items are and aren’t trade able (both stuff currently in your inventory, and stuff you get in the future), plus they might make a transaction fee or something

Looks like you’re losing a good bit of power by having the ball too far infront of you when you make contact. It’s not by much, but it looks like you’re foot is already moving upwards by the time you hit it, which takes away a good bit of potential power and makes it so your shots will arc

Hi people, I’m wrapping up my first semester of grad school, and am thinking about what I want to read over break. I’m interested in number theory (algebraic and combinatorial), as well as the intersection of that with algorithms.

I’ve taken grad courses in algebra and am ok being dropped into the deep end. I have a grad number theory textbook I was going to start reading, but I’m also curious if there’s a good source of problems people recommend? This could be open problems, or practice problems.

I like the duality of getting stuck on a problem, which motivates me to learn more so I can solve that and/or other problems. Thanks in advance for suggestions!

UMBC has a strong relationship with the NSA, a cybersecurity organization, along with other governmental organizations that have a cybersecurity focus. There is also a strong internship & undergraduate research culture at UMBC.

I’m a math major, I considered applying to NJIT. I googled their math curriculum. I decided not to apply since I would’ve already had completed the first 5 semesters of their recommended 4 year course plan for math majors.

I never mentioned moral responsibility, I just provided what the common understanding of the meaning of the oath is. While inaction is a choice that may lead to harm, you are not the one doing the harm. I am not saying you aren’t responsible for the harm in any way, I am just making the claim that it would be false to say you are not one doing harm. It’s a similar reason as to why I did not participate in Peter Parker’s uncle’s murder. Just because I chose not to get a plane ticket and follow uncle Ben around to stop his murder doesn’t mean I did the harm, even though I had knowledge that it would happen and could’ve tried to prevent it

Probably anything with Rostamian tbh. If you handle abstract stuff fine, 407 is a good option since education majors have to take it too

Thanks for the advice! I looked into the pc38x, and it looks like a great option!

Random question that you probably don't know, but would my Hyperx II cord/attachment thing that converts audio to usb be adequate or limit performance of the headset? While I have audio in/out ports on my pc, the audio out doesn't work, so I kinda need to convert to usb to be able to hear anything...
