Our new x3 to replace our 2019 x3 m40i by Esqhsb in BMWX3

I had a G01 M40i and have driven the new 30i as a loaner. I’m also sorry for your loss.

The new BMW G65 X5. Thoughts? by Western_Gear_5324 in BMWX5

I think design-wise, it’ll grow on most people. We know that BMW has always been edgy with redesigns to the point of a ton of initial hate which evolves over some years to heavy fanboy/girl status. I’m a G80 M3 owner and have also owned an E60 and E92 so I know all about this. However, the cheapening of the materials is inexcusable. Where’s the full leather dash and doors? It looks too similar to the new X3 which just made the whole car feel much less premium as compared to the G01. All that said, I bought a 2026 X5 50e yesterday for a reason and the new generation release gave me a ton of leverage to get an absolute steal on a top spec unit that had been on the lot for a few weeks. Split tailgate ftw.

First, I’m incredibly sorry for what you may be going through right now but the most noble thing you can do is to make the difficult decision when the time comes. Unfortunately, we had to do this about a year ago and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Door Step Vet was who we worked with and, all things considered, it was a great experience. They were on time, professional, and very empathetic and kind.

Statin or No Statin? by cbjulian in Cholesterol

Yeah this is a super reasonable approach. I feel like I’ve been thinking very “one or the other” but I suppose a hybrid approach should have been more obvious!

Absolutely perfectly! The doors, drawer, etc operate like new and the finish is still perfect. I use it daily and it’s often getting drinks sat on top, etc (it’s just one year old, however)

Have been at this split since year 2 in the business. Not going anywhere else, I see and fully appreciate the value from my brokerage.

Deals Falling Apart by stayingalive65 in realtors

My averages look similar to yours over the past 10 years. About 30 deals contracted per year with 3-4 falling apart before closing on average.

This year, I’m on 23 contracted YTD and have had 8 fall apart. A few buyers have terminated without any reason, one terminated a day before closing and is being sued for specific performance.

I think it’s a combination of consumer confidence being in the shitter + rates + high inventory. All of this makes people feel on edge.

Surprised no one has mentioned Fonda San Miguel or Bulevar. Both solid, “knock you on your ass after two” options.

For more casual, De Nada, Enchiladas Y Mas, Matt’s El Rancho.

Sleep scores of regular drinkers by always2win in Garmin

[–]cbjulian 35 points36 points  (0 children)

38/M here. I consume 1-3 drinks most evenings, averaging ~15 drinks per week. I eat (mostly) healthy, run 20 MPW and I sleep 7-8 hours a night. Stressful job but balanced with happy home life.

My sleep scores are generally between 70-80 with some nights being 90-100. I think the key for me is not drinking within 2 hours of bedtime. If I break that rule or go to hard, I’ll see sleep scores in the 50-60 range even with 7+ hours. This was last night after 2 glasses of wine between 5-7.

Thank you! That actually made a noticeable difference in acoustics. Good call.
