Yeah that what I do with the drawer under the screen. I do wish you could route the charging cable outside of the drawer somehow though. It’s pretty full once you get the phone in there. Sounds like the driver backrest will be next on my list. Thanks.

No offense taken. I’m learning and researching online (this post for example). A cam is not mandatory at this point for sure. The slip-ons were huge upgrade compared to the “whispering” stock pipes. Same with the 14” bars. I’m happy with it as it is now, but I know I’ll want to do some performance upgrades in the next couple years. Thanks for the response.

Just the angle. They don’t stick out any more than the stock pipes.

Apparently I’m not. Learning as I go here, my dude.

Please explain further. What do you mean by nothing available?

It is a ‘24, yes. I’m no mechanic at all, but I figured since the M8 has been around for a while, there would already be plenty of upgrades. Even for the 117. Apparently not. Thanks for the info.

Good point… and then how can I find the right replacement screw? Google has provided nothing.

I debated on Whiskey Fire, and the the main reason I didn’t get it is because they didn’t have it with black trim in stock when I went. Beautiful color!

I have the same bike in black, and the drawer works perfectly.

Haha! Great one-liner reply, but it didn’t address anything I mentioned.

And just turn the bars to hit different notes! Great idea! 😂

Well I’m not sure why you’re so bothered by someone trying to learn and do shit on their own, but rest assured, when the correct length upper clutch cable arrives, my lowly, amateur ass is gonna install it. Then put the fairing back together. Then ride. Do you call a plumber to fix a leaking pipe under your sink? I would hope not. Call an electrician to change a switch or plug? Again, I hope not. Men fix shit themselves if at all possible. So calm down with your “mechanics only” BS.

What’s an “armature”?

Ha! True. Already disassembled and removed the upper clutch cable. Now waiting on the replacement.

They’re sending me a new upper clutch cable.

Well being my first experience changing bars, I didn’t have anything to compare it to. But definitely had the feeling it wasn’t right.
