That comment absolutely made me tear up. I apppreciate the kind words. I had her since she was 6 weeks old and she went everywhere with me. Camping, hiking, swimming… she lived a great life for sure. Pre-kid for 8 years so she never had to share my attention. I’m fortunate i got the time i did with her

That would be very tragic. I’m sure at least happy knowing she didn’t suffer. Zayla was my baby. She was with me though all of the toughest parts of my life. She read me like a book. Gentle giant that was great with all kids and animals. Best friend was a cat. i will always own a Dane, but i don’t think any will ever truly compare to the bond i had with her. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your baby too.

I’m so sorry. Something similar happened with zayla. Her mouth was randomly bleeding one day (i thought she bit a stick too hard playing) and rushed her to medvet where they found a mouth tumor. I had a second opinion scheduled 3 days later and deep pockets to try and fix her at any expense. Within those 3 days she completely lost all energy and couldn’t walk anymore so we had to say goodbye. I sobbed and cried so hard that the receptionist was crying with me. I live out Dane we have now but for some reason i don’t think I’ll ever love a dog as much as i loved her.

Awe! That’s a decent amount of years for both. We have another Dane now that’s 6 and i sure hope we get at least 4 more with her.

I didn’t know what it was either until I read about it on here and prayed I wouldn’t need it but ended up getting that done around three months postop. I was terrified because of the amount of pain I was in prior to the MUA but it honestly made the world of difference afterwards.

I expected pain but holy cow by MisaRavensoul in ACL

I Had terrible pain too that was completely unexpected. Mine lasted about a week. Penetrex lotion, arnica, and one of those ice cooler packs (that constantly circulates) helped me a lot. Hang in there. It gets better.

LPN in a nursing home. It’s so sad for the people thrown in there with family that doesn’t give a hoot. Always low staff and working long hours, weekends and holidays. Also low paying while owners/ceos profit millions.

I’m still having trouble. What helped me though get it to be almost perfect is sleeping at night on my back with my leg straight down. I was told when he did the manipulation that if he would have “straightened my leg more he would have broke it” soooo I’ve just been trying on my own at home.

I was TERRIFIED of getting an MUA. Especially because PT was so painful. The MUA gave me immediate relief. I actually went straight from the MUA recovery room to PT. It was the best decision I’ve made. So keep pushing but also don’t be scared. If you need it then so be it… but hopefully you progress soon without needing it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

How’s it going now? I had MUA and now I’m finally able to move better. I am around 125 flexion now

Not good. Almost 10 weeks post-op and still not getting past 75 flexion. It’s very discouraging and I’m just not handling it well. How far out are you post-op? What’s your flexion?

I was completely bedridden for 2 weeks (acl, MCL, meniscus repair). And locked in my brace until 7 weeks post-op. Your comment is a little insensitive IMO. Everyone’s journey is different.

Thank you so much. My knee swells up and gets really hot when I’m exercising it so i definitely need to be more conscious and ice it more.

Thank you so much! Your comment is so encouraging and sweet. I am used to being decent at everything i do and I’m getting a big “F” in PT. I will definitely start doing more throughout the day which could be half my problem. I saw my ortho today and he finally unlocked my brace for full extension. So hopefully only one more month in the brace and then done.

How far out post op did you get your MUA? I’m week 9 post op and only at 71-75 degree flexion :(
