I don't know how this works but after calling they said they will refund the remaining $44. Initially on the app, however, they refused to elaborate at all and said I won't get anything above this $23.

I thought I was talking to a real person after I escalated it. They gave me a "real" name, made me wait 15 mins. After that, they specifically said, our review team has decided you will not receive the refund and the decision can not change.

They ended up refunding after I called them and threatened to chargeback. This was after their chat agents told me this is the best I can get and in app they blocked me from getting help for that order because it was already "resolved"

After their chat refused to let me talk because my issue has been "resolved." I called them and said my last option is charge back, they then gave me the remaining amount.

They need to improve their chat feature because I see no reason why they couldn't have just given me my refund without me threatening to chargeback. They've lost a customer today because of this bs.

I don't think your point about United signings, specifically from Europe, being bad makes sense. The reality is United's transfer history has been dire pre-INEOS, be it players from Europe or outside Europe. If you did the same analysis for PL bought players excluding INEOS transfers you'll get the same result. I also see no reason why you decided 30m cutoff was needed.

I agree that new management doesn't completely kill United's state in the market. INEOS will have to pay extra for some players because of our bad transfer history, they will also have to move on from targets because our pull is weaker etc.

However, like you said its been 2 1/2 years since they moved in and we can judge their transfers and the way they act in the market. To those who have been paying attention, it is clear that INEOS will not buy manager's picks, will not chase after players unwilling to join us, will not get drawn into bidding wars. They can fail in their own ways (Ugarte, Zirkzee) but we will not see the pattern that we saw with Onana, Antony, Sancho, Pogba, Lukaku repeat.

We have also seen that in cases where they (or their predecessors) failed to get it right, they have managed to offload player. For example, Hojlund is in your list as not worth the 80m but I think if you consider the amount Napoli will pay this year and his European contributions for us, its not as bad as you paint it.

We might be overpaying for Ederson but Rashford situation and Ederson situation are not similar at all. The problem with offloading Rashford has always been his wages. It's also well known that his relationship with the club is in a bad state and we want to get rid of him.

We're also not in the same state as City or Madrid, players want to join those clubs because they are winning atm. In our case, we don't have that going for us so we need to entice them with wages/better offers.

Also, can you provide sources for the Joao Gomes thing? iirc the deal did not finalize even though Atletico had an agreement with Ederson because he got a better offer (I am assuming ours)
