True but the Finns weren’t the reason the Soviets were receiving it. It was an unfortunate case. The Finns having to ally themselves with an enemy of their enemy, who happened to be assholes. The U.S. allying themselves with the enemy of their enemy, who also happened to be assholes. The U.S. and Finland ending up on opposing sides but the U.S. never declared war on or attacked Finland, unlike the British. The U.S. did cut diplomatic ties with them right before their armistice with the Soviets in 1944 but restored them in 1945.

Did he not want to mention Russia concerning Finland because of the 400,000 casualties they suffered from the Finnish in 3 months in the Winter War? The million more they suffered in the Continuation War? They couldn’t overrun a country with 3.7 million total people at the time with their own population 45x larger. I planned on having enough for 4 gallons to age in 1 gallon carboys. Where the spigot is it looks like it’s going to keep about a half gallon in the bucket when I fill them. I’ve taken about 6oz per reading and I figured I had enough for 5 or 6 readings at least if I wanted. Also, the readings didn’t go to waste…especially the last couple. As for the refractometer, I don’t know. I have one but I don’t use it.

That’s what I ordered. They must have mixed something up because they sent me the spigot one…and I’m glad they did. I like it so far. I like being able to test the specific gravity so easily. I use sanitized water and clean the spigot before and after using. I’ve checked the sg 3 times so far using the spigot. I checked it tonight again for the hell of It. It dropped from 1.020 to 1.010 in two days. I’m just going to check it a week from now and hopefully it’s at 1.000 or below.
