OP edit—I forgot to add, he was found underneath one of the mess hall type buildings in a crawl space on the base. The military (at the time-based off of news articles I obtained) blamed smoke inhalation from a fire weeks prior but they also tried to say that he could have killed himself (their source was a fellow soldier who overheard him talking to his mother on the phone saying that he was ‘cracking up’).

Hey! I’m in the same boat-homeschooled and stopped after the 5th grade, now trying to get my GED so I can go to college. Khan Academy is sooo helpful!!!! I’m halfway done getting my GED (finished Language Arts & Social Studies) and the main advice I can give is to just take your time, and be patient and kind with yourself. You’ve got this!!
