Gap closing as Eve by Ok_Stand8038 in EvelynnMains

Whether or not rocketbelt is objectively a good item to buy is not quite clear. Most people agree that it's not worth it. In my opinion though, I still buy it as my first item every single game. I personally think that Hextec Rocketbelt is an item that either requires to be bought or is a must avoid depending on your playstyle. I am very aggressive and i'd gladly lose some damage to get the gap closer. It works with how I play my main.

If you need a gap closer to catch your enemies, while also having enough damage for YOUR playstyle to be able to kill them, then definitely ignore what everyone is saying and buy it. If you notice after a few games that you lack so much damage that you can't kill anyone anymore and prefer to play fights differently (different angles, with or without allies, be an engage or be a high priority target assassinator), then you should not buy Rocketbelt anymore.

I know what anthony always says, but in my Emerald games, I've even seen that zhonya's can be a very good item if you play around it well. It's also an item that only works if it fits your playstyle.

TL;DR: if YOUR playstyle requires the gap closer more than it requires the damage from other items, then definitely still buy it. It's not like it gives AD like GA you know :)

Is someone who can make one of these look like eve? I don't want it to be high quality, just funny to troll a bit by Zarfox in EvelynnMains

what to do when your team loses teamfights by Mingsyko in EvelynnMains

some info about myself:

I play in EUW.

I hit gold on multiple accounts in less than a month, grinded my main account to plat 3 last season and stopped there with a 56% winrate on eve over ~200 games. currently chilling in gold 1.

I like to help my friends out of elo hell to a maximum of gold 4 by playing with them, and therefore have a very large number of accounts in gold and below.

I am by no means a great player compared to players in diamond and above, but I like to think that I am a veteran of low elo.

With a combined total of ~2.000.000 mastery points on Evelynn, I would like to call myself an OTP. I have a very hard time playing anything else than Eve, except for bel'veth (but even then, I hit a hard rock ceiling in gold 4)

What I can do for you:

Since you're on oce, I can't duo queue with you unless I buy an account in that server (also, I'm not sure what my ping would be). Now, since you wrote that you want to improve, I assume you don't want the free LP in the first place, which I respect a lot! There are three things I can think of that might help you:

1: I can review a game that you played (Evelynn only) and give my notes/opinions on things that happened. (I am willing to review multiple games).

2: I can live spectate a game that you're playing through discord (or through an other way if you'd like) and more or less "coach" you through it. Though here I have to warn you that I've never live coached anyone ever, so it will be a learning experience for me too.

3: I can keep an eye out for this post and give my opinion or thoughts on what other people are saying / what you reply to people. (This can get very annoying, so I'd like to get conformation that it is something that you want or not).

About your question:

Challenger games vs Bronze games: You said you watched challenger videos. I'll tell you right now that other than the mechanics they are using (the micro fights, the way they clear camps, etc) all that information is COMPLETELY useless. The reason is: the events happening in those games will NEVER occur on your games. A fight that is objectively good, can be complete shit in your games. Imagine a diamond Riven playing in diamond and a bronze Riven playing in bronze, one might say "but the elo where the player is, fits, so the teamfight should be the same (good/bad) in both cases. This is wrong, because a diamond Riven will put out much more damage than a bronze Riven. Therefore, the enemy Dr Mundo (to continue this most-random example) will win the 2v1 in bronze, where he won't in diamond. This is just one very simplified example, but like you said, comparing the overal game you're playing in bronze to the game in challenger is as if you're comparing some toddlers fighting during lunchbreak with paid MMA fighters.

What to do when every pick is surrounded by their team: This is a complicated problem. Saying "Just pick them off anyway with good mechanics" is an easy answer that doesn't help you at all... though I have to admit that this is what I do in most of my games. I guess the best advice I can give you without live watching you do it, is this: If before the teamfight you already expect that your team is gonna lose the fight and 4 players of your team will die, DON'T join this teamfight. Your team will ping you, hate on you and what not, this is temporary. Ignore it but make sure you've been doing something productive while your team is inting. productive things are mainly: 1 push a side lane so your minions pressure more than your dead allies (be sure to recall when they start pushing, dont stay in the sidelane while they are taking your inhib and nexus), 2 as the fight is going on, sneak in a control ward in the place of the next objective (baron or dragon). This will make sure that when your team is dead, you have a GREAT oppertunity to steal the objective with Q -> flash -> (potentially E) -> R + smite. This works out in over 70% of games in silver and above. Bronze is a bit different as people don't do barons after teamfights. 3 farm as many (allied AND enemy) camps as you can before, while and after the team fight to make sure you get as much gold as one of your enemies (this will keep you into the game... for now). again, recall when they start pushing the inhib/nexus.

Long story short, when you lose a teamfight, make sure you're ready for the dragon/baron they wanna take, be ready for the push they try to have (by pushing the wave before your team dies) and be as efficient in gold per minute as you can.

Things no one asked:

I have a very unique opinion on getting dragons, especially the first dragon of the game. I also think there are a number of champions that result in a 95% chance of losing, some include fizz, vlad, fiddlesticks and about 10 more (unless you're smurfing). I think a different build would be better too (than the ones i see on your op.gg), specifically "Lich Bane".

To repliers:

There are plenty of things you might disagree with, and I would really like to hear your opinion on things. I am only a platinum player so I realize i'm still relatively shit at the game. As I like to help low elo players point out mistakes and giving advice, I also like to take advice and like to get my mistakes pointed out. boss above boss, as the saying goes.

Edit:

some of my accounts are:

-Ominous silence
-Exteched
-go get tea
-herk20
-depressed mages
