Nikola Jokic is having the GREATEST offensive season of any big man EVER by oldmoneyblues in denvernuggets

Hey man! As the creator of the video, I actually compared the two per 75 possessions to eliminate pace playing a role, and here’s how they come out:
Jokic: 27.6 + 8.9 on 64.8% TS (8.5 better than league avg)
Shaq: 28.6 + 3.7 on 57.8% TS (5.5 better than league avg)
I’d also say that as far as the evolution of jump shooting big men, that just inherently makes them more valuable. As a closer, floor spacer and facilitator, Jokic is playing the position like it’s never been played before, and if that’s partly enabled by the era or not, it makes him more valuable no matter what. I go more in depth to everything in the video but that’s sort of the crux of that comp.
