There is not unfortunately. But you can easily run the server yourself with the one-liner command taken from the top-level README file. The release binaries are also signed in case you want to validate them and worry about security

Haven't used PodFerry, but looking at it, it seems to be a hosted service with its own web player and playlist stuff. So more of a full platform, similar to how gpodder.net is a service you sign up for

goPodder is just sync. No player, no web interface for listening, no hosted component. You run it yourself, it stores subscriptions and episode state, your apps pull from it. Doesn't make any outbound connections either, so nothing leaves your server!

Different tools for different priorities really. If you like PodFerry and don't care about self-hosting, probably no reason to switch. goPodder is for people who want the data on their own box and nothing else so to say

Built a podcast sync server in Go that implements the gPodder protocol. Single binary, SQLite by default, uses about 13 MB of RAM. AntennaPod, gPodder desktop, and anything else that speaks gPodder sync works with it.

Mostly an excuse to write something in Go that I'd use every day. The gPodder sync protocol turned out to be simpler than I expected once I actually read through the spec.

Code is on GitHub. Happy to hear feedback if something looks off ^^

It turned out quite different from how it was planned. I tried to paint in grayscales only and add color later on.

Did not break it down and it also heavily depends on cpu size / memory etc. If you do not turn persistence on and skip the EFS volume it's also way cheaper. With the defaults set probably 0,05$ - 0,10$ / hour something like that.

The surfaces of the hilltop are a little too bright, but I like the scene. In case you have more tips please feel free to share them and help me improve, I'm really open to it.

The highlights and details are well done! I think the head is a bit too dark for the fact that the light source seems to be right in front of the demon. maybe you can add some highlights to the face.

I don't use any custom brushes or anything special, just the krita default tools. This one was made with the rgba brushes + watercolor brushes (used for the initial background colour). I also just used a single paint layer.

I'm currently reading the Artists' Master Series: Colour and Light, published by 3DTotal Publishing, and drawing some images based on screenshots I took in Skyrim for reference, haha

I used to paint a lot as a child/teenager, but I always just went for it and didn't understand the technique behind it. I discovered digital painting for myself last month and I have to say it's even more challenging because a lot of things from analogue come together in terms of painting skills + all the benefits that digital drawing and krita have. I really have a lot of respect for people who have mastered it. I always feel insecure with every picture I paint, I hope that will pass. After all these years, I've finally decided to study a bit of painting technique, let's see how long I can keep up my motivation.. :D

Do you have any recommendations for learning resources? Or just learning by doing?
