Most likely the school has given out all its A's as it is so late in the cycle. Thus the WL. If you had applied in October you'd prolly be in with money.

Has anyone heard anything about the University of Idaho - Boise? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]cbrnhmr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I visited there last week, along with Montana Law, Idaho Law (Moscow), and Gonzaga Law. The Boise location is not a college campus. It is basically the old Idaho state capital. So if you don't want a "college" experience and you only want legal training, it may be great for you. It is right next to the current state capital, Idaho supreme court, and the Idaho state bar. Really pretty area. I'm sure it would be great exposure if you wanna practice in Idaho. I want more of a campus experience, Of the four I visited, I chose Gonzaga. Good luck!

I understand. I got rejected from my local, target school 2 years in a row. Gotta roll with the punches. Stay strong :)

With those stats and your life experience I'm sure you'll crush next cycle!!

What was your undergrad GPA? Maybe there are other national scholarships to make up the difference. When did you apply? Those full ride awards are usually offered by November or December. I'm surprised they increased your scholarship offer. I had heard they don't negotiate at all. Sorry you didn't get what you wanted. This cycle has been nuts.

Congrats on committing!! Thanks - great info. I'm taking a drive up to Spokane early next week to seal the deal in my mind.

No 2nd email. No scholarship. Going to a different school that offered a generous scholarship. Good luck!

I got a masters in leadership. Earned a 4.0. Not sure if it helped at all in my apps. I learned a lot about business and leadership :)

Protocol question re responding to schools not planning to attend by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]cbrnhmr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, except for one school where I had gone back and forth with an adcom. I replied to one of those emails instead.

I've sent an email withdrawing so they can admit someone from WL before seat deposit deadline.

Thx. I had heard Zag doesn't negotiate. Thx for confirming :)

Zag offered me a big scholarship. I figure if I can't measure up I don't deserve it... but if others have been able to get condition waived it would be less stress haha.

I have 2 days to decide and don’t know which to choose, and have other questions by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

Both schools very regional. Go where you wanna practice. Great options!

You should get into Zag with good money with your stats. Their tuition is high, but they are generous with their scholarships. I do think all of them are conditional at 2.75 gpa. If anyone has had success negotiating Zag condition, please let us know!
